We are pleased to announce that with effect from Monday 5th October 2020 The Bull Inn will be under new ownership, and your new hosts will be Claire and Greg Woods.
Claire and Greg have already managed to help The Black Lion survive and begin to thrive again following the outbreak of Covid and have now set their sights on doing the same with The Bull Inn. We all know how important the village pub is to any rural community, steeped in tradition, it is the hub of any village, a place for locals and travellers to come together after work or whilst out visiting the area, and put the world to right in a convivial atmosphere, and this is their vision for the future of the Bull. A welcoming bolt hole from what is currently happening around us. They look forward to welcoming both locals and visitors to join them in this new venture, so please come out and show your support.
Part of a range of 15th and 16th-century buildings on the Common Place (village square), the Bull Inn, thought to be the successor to an earlier inn on the site owned by the Priory, serves a range of traditional home-cooked fare including sandwiches, pies, burgers, fish and chips and Sunday roasts, as well as an array of beers, including carefully selected guest ales. The pub offers both sheltered and sun-trap courtyard areas. The Bull also offers four letting rooms which are stylishly decorated and offer all the usual amenities, with tea & coffee making facilities, a flat-screen TV and free WI-FI and a full English breakfast. The Room configurations are as follows:- Room 1 – Standard Double with en suite shower room (MAXIMUM 2 Adults) Room 2 – Standard Double with en suite shower room (MAXIMUM 2 Adults) Room 3 – Twin Room with en suite shower room (MAXIMUM 2 Adults) Room 4 – Family Suite offering, Double room, second room with bunk beds and family bathroom (MAXIMUM 2 Adults + 2 children, travel cot available) A unique and well-known meeting point at the very heart of the village, we are about 30 seconds walk from the Anglican Shrine and no more than 2 or 3 minutes from the Catholic Shrine’s Pilgrim Bureau, we extend a friendly welcome to locals, pilgrims, tourists and business people and trust that a visit to The Bull Walsingham further enhances all that Little Walsingham has to offer. Nearby Wells-next-the Sea is a lively quayside town boasting pine-fringed beaches, art galleries and independent stores, and is connected to Walsingham via a delightful light railway. The stunning North Norfolk Heritage Coast offers dramatically changing views, nature reserves, basking seals and timeless villages. The market towns of Fakenham and Thursford, famed for the country’s largest Christmas spectacular, are both within five miles; the cathedral city of Norwich is a fifty-minute drive. Local or visitor, you can always expect a warm welcome to The Bull Inn.
