Hello from Spectrum Travel, your friendly neighborhood transport service in Merseyside. We’re ready to roll for everyone, but we’ve got a special soft spot for individuals with hidden disabilities.

Our shiny new Ford Torneo is spacious and cozy, seating up to 8 people comfortably. If you’re a group of five or less, you can even enjoy a sociable round-table setup.

We decked out our vehicle with plenty of cool features: from snacks and drinks, to a TV, Xbox, ad-free YouTube, and mood lighting. For our friends with hidden disabilities, we’ve also got sensory and fidget toys, and a comforting weighted teddy bear.

We’re a proud member of the Sunflower Hidden Disability Scheme, and we’re all about making our passengers feel comfortable and at ease.

Apologies for my last post 🙈 here it is again but readable 🤣🙌 Help at the airport with a hidden disability
can make a significant difference in the travel experience for individuals who might find the hustle and bustle of airports overwhelming. Many airports offer services designed to assist travelers with hidden disabilities, such as autism, anxiety disorders, or sensory processing challenges.
One way to access this support is by contacting the airport or airline in advance to inquire about the assistance they provide. Services may include expedited check-ins, quiet waiting areas, or the option to board flights early. Additionally, some airports have staff trained to recognize and support travelers with hidden disabilities, ensuring a smoother and more comfortable journey.
Travelers can also benefit from using a sunflower landyard which discreetly signal to airport staff that additional support may be needed. With these resources and a little planning, flying can become a more enjoyable and accessible experience for everyone. ✈️

Welcome to Spectrum Travel, a cherished family-run service committed to making travel accessible for everyone, particularly those with disabilities. As a family touched by the spectrum, including autism, ADHD, sensory processing challenges, anxiety, and hypermobility, we truly understand.

We’ve experienced the ups and downs of travel and the challenges that come with changes in routine. This is why our mission is to ensure that individuals with invisible disabilities feel safe, valued, and free from stress.

How do we achieve this? Our approach is founded on personal experiences and extensive training sessions (Sarah and all four of our children are on the autism spectrum or have ADHD, among other things).

This year, we have ambitious plans ahead. We’re looking to expand our team of drivers, each of whom will have a deep understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN), either through personal experience or family connections. But we need your support. 🙌

Could you help us connect with SEN families everywhere? You don’t have to book with us, but sharing our posts or tagging anyone who might benefit from our services would mean the world. 🌈 We have also received inquiries about collaborating with local SEN businesses, which is thrilling (we’ll share more details soon), so if you know of any such businesses interested in joining forces with us, please share their details and tag them below. 🙌
