When I researched Days out in West Sussex I was surprised by how much there was to see, fun things to do and places to visit in the area.

West Sussex has 2 open air museums, it has the South Downs for walking, riding and cycling. It has the magnificent Arundel Castle, Chichester Cathedral, Fishbourne Roman palace and historic houses such as Petworth.

Chichester harbour is spectacular and the surrounding areas have parks and gardens such as High Beeches, Nymans, Borde Hill and Leonardslee. Natural habitats exist along its canal banks and also in several RSPB wetland centres.

Racing fans have Fontwell racecourse and the fabulous Goodwood with it’s horse and motor racing. Others may prefer Fishers farm park, Go Ape, Tullys maize maze, Hollycombe steam collection or have fun in the local Butlins.

What ever you like to do on your days out I would suggest that you come and explore the rich history and natural beauty of West Sussex for yourself! West Sussex is the perfect destination for a fun and an educational experience.
