The PAL Multicultural Centre is a purpose built multi-functional community centre, located in the heart of Liverpool 8 for the last 45 years. We aim to improve the lives of people who face many disadvantages. We provide support for older people with social activities and to improve their health. very well known for holding regular events and activities and representing the community on a country wide basis, including indoor sports, healthy eating classes and yoga classes are held and are very popular within the community. Coach trips are arranged for the young and elderly to various destinations. PAL centre is also used by the local councillors for their surgeries. The centre is particularily keen in enhancing the activities for the elderly. Every Friday after prayers, meal for elderly members of the community is provided. This is becoming very popular and we are now actively seeking funding to expand this facilities to more than once a week. PAKISTANI POETRY RECITAL

It was wonderful to see so many of our members attend a Pakistani Poetry Recital evening (aka Mushaira) at the PAL Multicultural Centre on 17th December 2024.

A big shout out to the team Ahmad Munir , Munazza , Amjad, Sobia & Faika at PAL under the banner of their Saiban Alami Adabi Forum, in collaboration with Mehfil Liverpool. CHRISTMAS MESSAGE

At Christmas time especially, it is truly heartening to know that there are so many people within our community who are giving their time and energy to help others and to make where we live a better place.

It's also important that this period is used to reflect upon the misfortune of others around us. Our neighbours, the elderly, the sick or vulnerable, who are spending the festive period alone or in hardship. Please do what you can to extend the spirit of Christmas beyond your own home and into the lives of those who may need assistance or kindness shown in the coming weeks.

Remember those on our streets with no home to go to nor family to share Christmas with. And consider the hardships experienced by those refugees arriving shortly in our city who have lost everything and left lives behind them, to come here for the prospect of peace and prosper.

We should also remember with gratitude everyone who will be working over this holiday period, particularly those in our emergency services and hospitals and to them we extend our sincerest wishes for a peaceful and happy festive period.

On behalf of the PAL Multicultural Centre, we would like to wish everyone a happy, healthy and peaceful Christmas and a prosperous New Year."
