We always recommend applying a post-treatment cream or balm to the patient's skin following treatment. These products are specially formulated to protect the skin and help it to heal following aesthetic and skin procedures.

In case you hadn't already noticed, we're big on making sure that all of our delegates get plenty of hands-on, practical experience during their training. This is something we've always prioritised at Facethetics. Assessing and treating real patients is an invaluable part of your training, which is why we always ensure that we have a variety of live models for each demonstration and practical session. Training manikins have their uses, but you absolutely need to have hands-on experience with real patients too!

Did you know that we offer the VTCT Level 2 Accredited Qualification in Facial Massage & Skincare? This is the perfect introductory pathway into facial therapy, incorporating skin knowledge and practical skills. ONE TO SHARE WITH YOUR PATIENTS! This is a reminder of just how extensive the trade in unlicensed, counterfeit injectables actually is. The first clip is of a practitioner and trainer admitting over the phone that she purchases B12 injections (a prescription-only medication) from Korea, because it's cheaper. You'll also see just a few of the messages that we receive on social media from these overseas suppliers offering cheap products. They are SO EASY to get hold of - you don't even have to go searching. There have been numerous reports over the last couple of years - both here in the UK and elsewhere (including a recent incident in several states of the USA) of dodgy products being used on unsuspecting patients. It's so scary and sadly, it is rife. Professional, ethical, responsible practitioners - who actually CARE about their patients safety - will always use properly licensed and prescribed products that come from a reputable supplier... not something they got on the black market...
