Pictured left Colin Hall (some of you may recognise as the former custodian of Mendips, the childhood home of John Lennon) and right Colin Hanton (the drummer with The Quarrymen Skiffle Group- the band that became The Beatles).

A bright and early start this morning at Manchester Airport on StevieTTransfers.com then straight on to looking after the totally moptopatabulous Debbie and Gordon from Reading 🇬🇧 on their Mop Top Tour - a lovely day but it’s still not quite t-shirt weather 🥶 good to be back though!

We have some great news - the iconic Epstein Theatre will reopen in 2025.

We can't wait to give you more information. Right now we are busy getting the theatre ready to welcome back Liverpool's amazing community of artists and audiences.

We are refitting the the stage with new lighting, stage cloths and sound. We are also improving the backstage areas, whilst front of house we have refitted the bar, which is looking absolutely beautiful.

I’ve been enjoying watching the latest series of ‘The Bay’ on ITV.

The story is based around real life places such as Glasson Dock and Sunderland Point, places I hold dear as I spent much of my childhood and youth there.

In fact, Sunderland Point is where Mrs T and I went for our very first day out together, and we sat on the waterfront enjoying the sunshine and tucking in to corned beef and picallili sandwiches (I think she must’ve been impressed 😊). I’ve taken many a tour guest here too, as part of their trips to Lancaster and surrounding area.

During my painting phase I did a watercolour of the waterfront too, so I feel like I know all these buildings very well (the painting didn’t turn out great as a boat I tried to paint wound up looking like a giant red chilli pepper had been washed up on the beach 😆 I think I may still have that somewhere actually, I’ll see if I can dig it out 🫣).

A bonus too, is the fact the lovely Leanne Best is appearing in this series, and I think she is just great in everything she does (she’s absolutely nothing like the characters she plays, she’s a very laid back and fun person and I was delighted to spend some time with her chatting about all things acting a few years ago). Incidentally, Leanne is the niece of Pete Best, who was once the drummer in The Beatles don’t you know.

Here we are in the garden of The Casbah Coffee Club (which we sometimes include on our tours too).
