You may be aware that NRW are considering the closure of the Coed Y Brenin visitor centre. Local Councillors are opposing this move and organising local representation.

I am aware this “original” trail centre is now falling out of relevance to the MTB world by not meeting the needs of advance riders, or those new to the sport, and will provide an expert insight on how this can be improved.

Rather than just shouting angrily, please take the time to consider why the site is important to you, and what you think should be done to make it more relevant for the present and future of the sport.

I am delighted at the news that the Board of the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod has agreed to partner with promoters Cuffe & Taylor. The deal has already seen Manic Street Preachers and Suede confirmed to headline the 2024 Eisteddfod, with more acts to be announced over the coming weeks.

As a former member of the Board of Trustees for the Eisteddfod, I have seen first-hand the dedication of those who help to make this event a success every year. I look forward to continuing to liaise with all relevant parties over the coming months to ensure that the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod is a success for years to come.
