Cath and Phil have been welcoming guests almost every week to their former family home, The Vicarage, for more than 5 years and have almost 200 amazing reviews on Facebook and Airbnb. Until late 2018 many of their guests were hen party groups, but from 2019 (as they now offer 3 other Yorkshire based houses to ladies-only groups through their @HenPartyHouse business) they now only offer The Vicarage to mixed groups of families and friends and are regularly hosting groups of up to 4 generations from recently born babies to great-grandparents in their 90s!
With 6 bedrooms, the total number that can be accommodated is flexible dependent on split of adults & ages of children but a maximum total group size of up to 16, although if we have availability we can offer it to groups as small as just a couple of parents and 2 or 3 kids.

Upstairs there are five large bedrooms with options for twin or double beds, and a large family bathroom. There is a spacious king-size master suite with its own bathroom and dressing room. There is a shower room and toilet downstairs that can be used by guests sleeping in the 6th bedroom downstairs. We also have a shower and toilet in the pool area.
There's a huge dining conservatory that can seat 16 for dinner plus has an area for relaxing with a massive window seat and comfy chairs and settee, a large living room with plenty of seating and a 47 inch TV with Wii, Netflix, Now TV and Apple TV. Both the conservatory and kitchen have further snug seating areas too. From the conservatory you can access a large south-facing lawned area surrounded by trees, with seating so you can relax and let the children play.
Our large kitchen with huge island is fully equipped with all you need to cook (2 ovens!), American fridge and wine cooler ... or just relax and order your dinner delivered from many of the great local takeaways. We also have shops and a post office with a free ATM just a minute away. There is ample parking on the drive for up to 8 cars. High chair and travel cot are available.
Of course the piece de resistance of The Vicarage is the wonderful 9m by 6m heated pool with a 6 person whirlpool bath. With a constant depth of 1.3 metres, so no deep end, the pool is great for families to safely play games such as water polo or netball. The pool area is accessed via the house so there is no need to go outside.
The Vicarage is perfectly positioned for days out with the towns and cities of Leeds, Halifax, Bradford and Huddersfield less than 30 minutes away, and popular tourist destinations of York, Homfirth, Hebden Bridge and Haworth all less than an hour away.

I stayed at the Vicarage in February as I went to celebrate a special birthday with friends. The house was amazing, the photographs I saw beforehand didn't do the place justice.
The facilities were excellent and all very modern. The pool and whirlpool bath were awesome. There was a lot of communal space for everyone to chill out together in.
We had spa treatments arranged via Phil and Cath where therapists came to the property and we had a relaxing facial / massage. We also had an afternoon tea again arranged via Phil and Cath which was delicious.
10 / 10 We didn't want to leave and all want to go back!

Eight of us (4 couples) stayed at the Vicarage for a weekend, in November, celebrating a couple of birthdays and can’t recommend it highly enough. Phil & Cath explained all the mod cons & made it simple from start to finish. Beautiful, spacious house , welcoming hosts & fantastic amenities, (pool, whirlpool bath, kitchen, sunroom etc) which we made the most of. We’ll definitely be back!

We have just returned home from a weekend stay at The Vicarage. We rented this house for my M**s 60th so the family could all be together. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, Cath and Phil were amazing and made us feel so welcome. Our group ranged from 23-85 year old and it was perfect for us all; thank you so much! X
