When Is the Best Time for Your Maternity Photoshoot?

One of the most common questions I get as a maternity photographer is: When should I book my pregnancy photoshoot?

The ideal time for your session is between 28 and 35 weeks. By this stage, your beautiful bump is well-defined, and you’re still feeling comfortable enough to move and pose with ease. Waiting too long can mean feeling swollen or tired, making the experience less enjoyable.

When to Book Your Maternity Session?
I recommend booking your session after your 21-week scan. This gives us plenty of time to plan a shoot that’s completely personalised to you—whether you dream of a romantic soft vibes or a stylish strong shoot, or an intimate, artistic portrait.

Why Book a Professional Maternity Session?
Pregnancy is such a fleeting, magical time, and a maternity session is the perfect way to celebrate your journey to motherhood. These portraits will become cherished keepsakes, capturing your glow, emotions, and excitement before your baby arrives.
