Barry the Boar (Our rescue piggy)
Introducing Barry the Boar, he's a 4 year old uncastrated Boar and a big softie. We quite literally saved his bacon and this is now his forever home where he will live out his natural life.
He's such a gorgeous friendly boy, guests are welcome to say hello to Barry at his enclosure (but not feed him!), Holly the dog thinks he's a huge dog and keeps dropping sticks in front of him....or her ball!
Spring has really hit its stride in the last few weeks, with birds nesting absolutely everywhere and the welcome return of our resident swallows in the barn and for the first time swifts in a hole in the side of the house. But for now I’ll leave you with a quick video of some masonry bees who live for a few short weeks in May but always make my heart lift when I see them, Adam
Another activity to add to the list to do here😏
The guests this weekend hired Paul from bigskybushcraft.co.uk for the day.they did loads on foraging both on the farm and on the coast but my favourite was making a fire tug of war style!
How many lady pheasants can you see? We've got quite a few. Missed the Cockerel, too slow to grab my iPad!
