These dates are normally booked a year in advance so grab yourself a bargain for you and 14 of your friends or family and come and see what this part of wales has to offer. To our previous guests that would love to return to Fronlwyd but haven’t got an excuse to bring 14 of your friends you and your partner can now stay with us in our tranquil geodesic dome, o Dan y ser ( beneath the stars), includes use of the gym and cinema and you get to see Barry the Boar of course! The dome has its own hot tub, sun deck, fire pit, dishwasher, pizza oven and bbq, not to mention a smart telly ( bring your own Netflix log in etc) for those rainy days and en-suite shower and all the while completely surrounded by nature. So come camping in style! Message us for more details if you are interested. Price is £160 per night, minimum stay 2 nights, sleeps 2, sorry no dogs.

Many of you who have stayed at Fronlwyd this past year will have met 'Barry the Micro pig' aka 'Barry the half tonne hamster ' 🐹 or simply that 'MASSIVE pig by the gym' 😯.

He's a rescue pig, came with some emotional baggage but is working through it very well and going from strength to strength; this is thanks to a rigorous consumption of melons/pumpkins/bananas and apples plus plenty of belly rubs.

It's also thanks to how lovely you have all been with him, he came a very scared nervous pig afraid of people and now he's really revelling in the attention. So thank you! And if you'd like to be kept up to date with his every day struggles/accomplishments he does have his own page so I don't end up just posting about Barry on here.

Interesting article. We were aware this was happening having tried to book a campsite in North Wales for ourselves to take the children away and couldn't believe how much the price had sky rocketed, decided to take day trips instead!

We haven't tried to cash in on the high demand here at Fronlwyd, we kept our prices the same. It's been a rough ride the past 18 months and we're just so glad to see you all coming back through our doors enjoying yourselves, making happy memories.

It’s not just about what you get up to in the days here at Fronlwyd. Bring a pair of binoculars and look up to the night sky to see something, if you live in a town, you might have forgotten was there. The Cambrian Mountains are an official dark sky park and is internationally recognised as a great place to stargaze. Introducing Barry the Boar, he's a 4 year old uncastrated Boar and a big softie. We quite literally saved his bacon and this is now his forever home where he will live out his natural life.

He's such a gorgeous friendly boy, guests are welcome to say hello to Barry at his enclosure (but not feed him!), Holly the dog thinks he's a huge dog and keeps dropping sticks in front of him....or her ball!
