Hati of dropped these in this morning for collection by another flower arranger. No doubt they'll be turned into beautiful arrangements for some lucky couple's wedding this weekend. We act as a pick up point for . It brightens up my mornings when I pop out to see what lovely blooms and bouquets have been been brought for collection. Hati also delivers in the local area. her flowers are all organically and sustainably grown here in Ffairfach

Dappled late afternoon sun shining on the little private deck at the Lookout, a cool and tranquil spot after a really hot afternoon today. The turf roof keeps the inside of the cabin cool. At the moment it's a riot of wild flowers! For the really hot (and brave) the dipping pool in the brook below the lookout is inviting. Down in the field above the stone circle two of Cass's horses are enjoying the evening sun. I've added a few of the latest comments from our visitors to the Lookout. Today we're ready to welcome our first B&B guests of the season. Everything is clean and shiny and I'm hoping I haven't forgotten anything important!.
We've had two lovely ladies staying for a big part of the winter. Anna from Spain has now gone home but Andrea from Germany is still with us for a bit longer. It has been a joy and a pleasure to have them here and get to know them. Now we're back to welcoming holiday makers which we greatly enjoy as well!

Winter arrived last night with the first frost of the year - and it was a hard one!, but what a sparkling blue crisp winter day it's been today. It feels like time to batten down the hatches and hibernate till spring, but there's always something to do. I've been busy getting next year's availability calendars online and I'm now hard at it sorting out our listings on the various booking sites. SO... to all you regular and much valued guests - if you want to make sure you get the dates you want, now's the time to start looking!!

The raspberries are ready in the garden. Here's a quick and easy way to make a delicious raspberry compote. Put raspberries in a dish and cook in the microwave for 2 minutes. then while they are still hot stir in a spoonful of honey -as much as you need for your own taste. (we use our own honey of course) Allow to cool and serve with yoghurt or cream. We serve this in our breakfasts along with yoghurt and cereals. Super kingsized bed, comfy sofa, woodburning stove and chandeliers!. Is this the best appointed glamping experience in Wales? A full kitchen and spotless shower room that you don't have to share with anyone else and to cap it all an al fresco bathtub with hot running water!. We think we've done a pretty good job! Llyn Brianne reservoir at the head of the Towy valley just a half hour drive from here. take in the view from the dam then drive over the Devil's staircase to Llanwrtyd Wells, or get on the bike and cycle all the way round the lake, through forest and open mountain top scenery on small roads and forestry tracks.

Steam train at the Gwili Railway. Just 25 minutes drive from here the Gwili railway is open throughout the summer for train rides on their restored steam and diesel locos. .gwili-railway.co uk. A little further away but within easy driving distance are the Brecon Mountain railway and the Teifi Valley railway. Tale a midweek break here at Ty Cefn Tregib and take in all three. This is Ffairfach station. Just 10 minutes walk from us here at Ty Cefn Tregib. It's on the Heart of Wales line which wends it's way through spectacular mid Wales from Swansea to Shrewsbury. Just one platform and pretty special as it's a request stop. You have to put your arm out to ask the driver to stop!

Ty Cefn Tregib translates from Welsh as "the house behind Tregib" We are the old home farm buildings of Tregib Mansion. Where the mansion stood there is now a fine stone circle. The second pic shows the mansion in the late 1950s with Ty Cefn Tregib in the top left. Pic 3 is from the early 1900s. After weeks of hot dry weather the foundations of the mansion and outbuildings are clearly visible in our front field, just above the stones. www.tregib.co.uk

This is our letter box. These are our new residents!
These pics taken through the letter flap over the last 10 days. We share out home here at Ty Cefn Tregib with so much wildlife. These little bluetits are just lucky that we spotted the parents going in and out nest building and could warn the postman.
