This is regarding the infamous beachside car park in Llangrannog, Ceredigion, where I know many of you have been stung by fines in the past (just park up the top car park if you can; more of a walk but without the hassle). Anyway, a man is back in court this week who flat out refused to pay a fine because it was written in English, not Welsh.

This amazing picture was captured by a couple sat eating fish and chips on the harbour wall in New Quay yesterday 🐬😍

They said: “We decided to stop off in New Quay for chips and a sit on the harbour wall. It turned out to be a great decision - given that we then had an hour of entertainment watching dolphins and were treated to the odd breach! A very fine way to spend a Sunday evening.”

Life's a beach in Mid Wales. Congratulations Ceredigion.

Five of the county's most popular beaches will be flying Blue Flags once again in 2023, while a further nine have also made a splash in the awards organised by Keep Wales Tidy.

Blue Flag beaches: Borth, Aberystwyth South, Llangrannog, Tresaith and Aberporth.
Achieving Seaside Award status: Aberystwyth North, New Quay Harbour, Traeth y Dolau, New Quay and Clarach.

Completing the accolades are Green Coast Award winners New Quay Traeth Gwyn, Cilborth, Llanrhystud, Mwnt and Penbryn. New Quay Traeth Gwyn is new to the awards list this year.

Beaches achieving Blue Flag and Green Coast award status must meet the highest “excellent” water quality standard and are judged for the provision of facilities for beach users and for demonstrating good management and safety provision.

Another happy guest just left after spending a few days at Y Bwthyn
They were happy although the weather was dreadful

Amazing stay in a beautiful cottage, perfect for families it’s stunning and spacious but also very cosy!
The property was absolutely beautiful, when we arrived they had the fire already lit for us making it extra cosy. we was also welcomed with a very thoughtful care package including two Easter eggs for our little ones they were very happy lol. It was so spacious and clean and had that warm feel good feel to it. I also loved how they thought of everything, everything was clearly labelled and instructions where printed off and laminated, it was child proof with the upstairs windows having safety locks on them. Would recommend to friends and family! you won’t be disappointed staying here, the garden is just stunning too, and a gorgeous location .
