There aren’t enough words to describe how special Cerrig y Barcud is to us. We have holidayed here for many years now and never tire of any part of it, whether that be the location, the things to see and do nearby or the cottages themselves. They are all truly fantastic!

From the coziness, to the cleanliness, to the warmth from Matt and Annmarie on arrival, there is everything and more you could possibly wish for here. Nothing is ever too much for Matt and Annmarie, they are the most wonderful hosts and are truly special people.

The cottages have everything you need, the games room and lawn at the front aka in my sons word - the football pitch, is brilliant for the children, as is the play area and space to feed the ponies and goats. At the end of a day of adventure they always look forward to coming back to the cottages to see the friends they’ve made and play outside. Which to us says it all. There is also an electric car charging point which is so convenient and a laundry room should you wish to use it during your stay. DVDs and books can be borrowed from the games room too. There is so much to do nearby without even needing to use a car - the sea zoo and farm are both just down the road as is the Halon Man salt factory, or simply just a walk down to the Menai Straits is stunning. There is plenty to see elsewhere too, we have barely
scratched the surface

We always have the best time when we come, we never actually want to leave and always always look forward to coming back. There is nothing like stepping through the front door of the cottage and feeling instantly relaxed and at ease.

I would recommend cerrig y barcud to everyone, whether you have children or are a couple coming to explore or for some r&r. Everyone is very respectful of each other and very friendly.
Me and my husband began coming here before we had children and knew this is where we would holiday as a family in the future. There is a cottage sized for everyone here which is brilliant.

Also got to mention the views and sunset too, breathtaking. We love coming to our ‘home away from home’ and are already looking forward to being back - we have such fond memories and look forward to making so many more. Thank you for everything! (by Simon, Becky, Jacob and Erin Hammo

Lovely lunch this afternoon with one of Farmer Hooton's Hot Potatoes at Hooton's Homegrown Farm Shop. Jacket Potato with Chilli followed by delicious rhubarb crumble and custard. Highly recommended
