Treanna Lodge is a two bedroom cottage on Anglesey. Situated between Brinsiencyn and Newborough it is a mile from the Menai Straits.

Newborough beach is magnificent and very popular for that reason. But once you get there (early to avoid queues) your walk will take you away from crowds onto an expansive arena. Shallow waters offer safe swimming. Llandwynn island is a great destination - a lighthouse, pilots' cottages, sheltered bays and the romantic story behind the place. The forest is great for walking and cycling and, if you're very lucky, spotting a red squirrel or two. And the views of the mainland and Llyn peninsula......

Though the weather's not been great recently, it often happens that a cool spring is followed by a great summer. Whichever way it goes, this area of North Wales has so much to offer. For example, get yourselves to Pen Mon - for the lighthouse and a great cafe. The views are truly magnificent.

The weather in Anglesey is great. Don't forget suncream though as the wind is cooling and can make the sun seem less potent than it is.

Newborough beach is nowhere near any sewage works or floodwater drains. Just pure and clean sand and seawater!

Martin Jones and his colleague Nigel have just done a great job painting throughout the cottage. It looks great!

It's a funny old Spring but Ynys Mon most days produces great walking weather. And when it's a bit iffy, there's always the cosy lounge, the log burner spreading warmth during cold days while you look out on the fields around our cottage.

We're here this weekend to prepare the Lodge for our first guests. We're so pleased so many people have chosen this cottage in this beautiful part of Anglesey for their long awaited stays away. Whether it's walking, cycling, touring around in the car, there's so much to do!
