Velvet Cottage Velvet Cottage offers a countryside based outdoor holiday with a wealth of activities available in the local area.

Off road parking for one vehicle, private fully enclosed garden, dog friendly. Velvet Cottage is a family owned, fully modernised 3 bedroom holiday cottage situated in a lovely setting one and a half miles North of Llangollen. The fully furnished self catering accommodation for five is set in it’s own private grounds above a quiet lane and is backed by National Trust owned Velvet Hill. A superking

double, twin and single bedrooms provide permanent bed spaces for 5 guests. A portable z bed is suitable for a child or small adult. The cottage features a large bathroom with toilet facilities, shower and bath. A 4G WiFi router and an extender provide WiFi coverage throughout the cottage. The lounge features two dog-proof leather sofas, a smart TV with Freesat and a DVD player. Private off-road parking is provided for one medium size (MPV) vehicle. Well behaved dogs are welcome, the fully enclosed garden is suitable for them to explore freely. Please be aware that there are concrete garden steps and an internal staircase, so the cottage is not suitable for persons of limited mobility.

Wallace and Gromit are coming to Wales!
In their latest adventure "Vengeance most fowl", they take a barge trip across Froncysyllte Aqueduct with almost disastrous consequences. Luckily, they survive (don't they always?) to eat Wensleydale cheese another day.

Our Story

Velvet Cottage is a family owned, fully modernised 3 bedroom holiday cottage situated in a lovely setting one and a half miles North of Llangollen. The fully furnished self catering accommodation for up to six people is set in it’s own private grounds above a quiet lane and is backed by National Trust owned Velvet Hill. The cottage garden is fully enclosed and is suitable for dogs. A private parking bay has room for one car, a second car can be parked on the lane below the cottage. A series of access steps and an internal staircase means that the cottage is not suitable for persons of limited mobility.

Velvet Cottage features a TV lounge (Freesat), a kitchen/dining area, study area, drying/storage room, three upstairs bedrooms and a large upstairs bathroom. Bed linen, towels, heating, utilities and unlimited WiFi are included.
