The Velux window in bedroom 2 has a blackout blind 🤩🤩🤩 So you can be rest assured for a good nights sleep without the sunrise waking you or the children up too early in the morning! 😍🙌🏼 If your children are anything like ours - they wake at the crack of dawn! 🫣🫣 NOT with our amazing blind though! 👏🏼 💃 . . The steps to the top bunk are fitted with anti-slip grip and they are glow-in-the-dark !! 😍 (my idea - i’m taking full credit for that one! 😁 Mark also had the idea of fitting a reading light on the top bunk - which can also be turned to face the corner of the room and left on throughout the night as a safety feature if your children wish to have a night-light on. All beds (including the top-bunk) have sockets and USB chargers. It’s soooo handy Mark being an electrician 😍 It’s safe to say….team work makes the dream work! Willow sleeps 5 people comfortably (plus a baby in a cot). During the designing process, Mark and I quickly decided we wanted to create two bedrooms in our cabin. Family Fry-up anyone? 🥓🍳 Our spacious living area is down to the compact design of our dining table and benches. We couldn’t find any which suited our size requirements and budget 🫣 so we made our own! 🤩 A bench also doubles-up as a coffee table. They are kept tucked away upon entry, but when in use, please feel free to pull out the table to make use of the space for family and friends to share a meal ❤️ Who loves cooking whilst on holiday? 😔 It is a very bittersweet weekend for us. 😢 . .This Easter we should have been welcoming our first guests to stay here at “Willow”. We had direct bookings in January and even though we had lots to do🙈…we knew it would be good for us to have something to aim towards. 💪🏼 . Although, mid-late February we just knew that it was going to be really tough to complete on time. So 3-4 weeks ago, we made the difficult decision to have to cancel the bookings, return the deposits and explain our reasons.😔 Even though they were understandably disappointed, …they appreciated the fact that we had contacted them at our earliest opportunity and the fact that we cared so much, because we wanted to have the cabin - just right. We are so grateful for their support and they want first dibs on a booking as soon as we’re ready and open for business. We can’t wait to welcome you all here! 🤗 ❤️ . We underestimated the amount of time that was required. And it’s safe to say we’ve learned some valuable lessons along the way! . From what we’ve show-cased on our stories - we’ve had many DMs asking …”you look ready - when are you going live?” Well the truth is …we don’t know! 🙈 We are very nearly there… touching distance in fact!! . Nevertheless, we’ve decided to take our own little “Glamping holiday experience” at our very first pod “WILLOW”. The children are beyond excited and have their bags packed! 🤣🥰 . Next steps: We have a plan! We’re going to test drive the pod for a few days, and see how she runs! Lighting the Hot tub (and everything that’s involved with that), the gas central-heating system, cooking facilities, utensils, crockery, cutlery … to check out what we’re missing. At least this way, we can be fully prepared if our guests are struggling to use any of the facilities and/or appliances - we can sort it out as they arise, as quickly and as smoothly as possible. . NINE !!!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩 Nine Canadian 🇨🇦 Geese on our Glamping Pod site ❤️ We are astounded! 😮🤩 For the last few years we’ve always had 2 pairs down the field where the site is now. A few weeks ago there were 5. But now 9…😮🤩😮 we are amazed and so pleased! 😌 They’ve been seen on our manmade pool … (larger than a pond… much much smaller than a lake 🤣…so pool it is! 😅 And what a special day it is too with it being Spring Equinox 🫶🏼 I’m feeling all sorts of emotions today, mainly grateful for everything that’s coming our way. 😇 Apologies we’ve been quite on here about the progress….. Wednesday 13th July 2023 🚜 We took a walk down to the site to check a few things out and to admire the progress. It’s all looking sooooo good 😍 & we can’t believe how well it’s all coming together 😃👌🏻 Kids are buzzing with excitement too & the creativity from the children is fabulous!
