Tartan Week Lochcarron A week of events and fun activities - encompassing Lochcarron and the surrounding area, the home of Tartan. Thanks to NHI for funding support for 2024

The first Tartan Week Lochcarron took place from 27th September to the 7th October 2024, this was a fun, area-wide initiative to celebrate all things Tartan across our fabulous community. There were all sorts of activities including arts and crafts, a Ceilidh and other events such as The Big Draw project. We will announce details of the 2025 event in due course, but in the meantime the details bel

And that's a wrap! Thank you to everyone who organised, took part, watched and listened to events and activities during the inaugural Tartan Week Lochcarron. This event was all about our wonderful village and community and the support shown by everyone has been wonderful. Here's a final image of Lochcarron for this year's Tartan Week... even the Northern Lights made an appearance for us! It's been a great week of events and activities in celebration of and we thought we'd share these two photos. The Incredible Fling Band last Saturday night, photo by BobTeddy Images and a photo of the Fling Band in the 1980s (thanks so much to Allan MacArthur for letting us share this).

There is still plenty to come and lots still happening. Today is an at home Shinty game (more details from Lochcarron Camanachd) and there's a quiz night tonight at The Lochcarron Hotel with Kenny Maclean from 8pm, and finally, Vicky from Balnacra Arts & Pottery by Vicky Stonebridge will be sharing some tomorrow night at the Rockvilla from 7pm.
