A small video to share from guests who stayed last year in Clachandubh Cottage with my daughter. Action packed!
Come and take a cottage and try your hand at fishing! All fish returned swiftly to the loch with a bit of squeaking from the girls!
Attentive mother of twins taken from the utility room window. The roe deer is the only hoofed animal in which delayed implantation occurs. Females give birth, usually to twins, but sometimes to single kids or triplets, between mid-May and mid-June. These family group have been enjoying eating down our lawn and sadly my plants! I’ll let them off! #wildsidegarden #wildargyll #wildaboutargyll #heartofargyll #selfcateringscotland #ederlineestate #estateholidays #autumnscotland #wildisles
Destructive biblical rains today here in Argyll. Sad footage of winter silage feed been taken out to sea in the flooding at Inveraray.
Six flying around Loch Ederline this afternoon making load chirping calls…..Ospreys! Preparing for their return migration after raising their young on Loch Awe. Females leave first at the end of August followed by males and then the young. After crossing the English Channel, they travel down through France and Spain into North Africa. Some then cross the Sahara Desert directly, while others follow the West African coastline. We are very honoured that they come all the way back to Argyll to breed again next spring, stunning birds. #osprey #migration #lochawe #argyllwildlife #rspb_love_nature #ederlineestate
Loved my trip with friends and my big bro on the PS Waverley a couple of weeks ago. We went on a short trip starting and ending in Tarbert. PS Waverley is the last seagoing passenger-carrying paddle steamer in the world. Built in 1946 and I highly recommend a step back in time!
