The Dining area has a large dining table perfect for romantic or family gatherings, also with floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the beautiful views and French doors leading out to the terrace and garden. The kitchen is well-equipped and perfect for cooking up a storm with electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave a handy dishwasher and washing machine. Leading back through the hallway you are met with the delightful twin bedroom with TV, the stylish bathroom with free standing bath and WC is located opposite the twin bedroom. Finally the beautiful master bedroom with super-king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made into a twin on request), TV, dressing room and stylish en-suite shower and WC. Venturing outside to the large enclosed terrace, you will find the wonderful spacious fully housed, luxury private, hot tub and the comfortable seating area with table and chairs, perfect for alfresco dining and lazy evening star gazing. There is ample private off-road parking, to the rear of the property. Well behaved dogs are welcome, charged at £20 each per full or part week. Location: Located close to the historic village of Kilmacolm and picture post card village of Lochwinnoch. Duchal Lodge offers the best of both worlds situated overlooked by only the Highland cows and sheep, wake up to the beautiful rolling countryside with eateries, supermarkets close by for convenience. You are also just 15 minutes drive to Braehead Shopping centre which also offers the addition of some fantastic leisure facilities to occupy your whole party on a wet day. A Working Farm: The lodge is situated on farmland which you are free to explore and enjoy, watch the lambs in springtime or the amazing Highland cattle roaming the land. Walking & Cycling: There are a multitude of walks and cycles routes without the need to drive. These includes beautiful routes to both Lochwinnoch and Muirshiel Country Park. Muirshiel Country Park and Knapps Loch Circular (5/10 mins), all offer easy and picturesque walks. Duchal Castle: The lodge is a short walk from the historic 12th century Duchal Castle. The ruins of the castle and fortifications can still be clearly seen and the area is accessible from both the farm and road. Water Sports: Visit the Beautiful Castle Semple, a great day out, where you can participate in an array of water sports. Golf: The renowned golf courses of Turnberry and the royal Troon are close at hand. Fishing: Fishermen will be delighted with the nearby river Clyde, for salmon and trout fishing. Favourite Days out: Loch Lomond, Helensborough, Largs & the Trossachs National Park are all an easy drive from the lodge. Or take a ferry trip and visit the Islands of Arran, great Cumbrae and Bute. Glasgow: The vibrant city of Glasgow with its fantastic museums, art galleries and SECC which hosts some great events and concerts is just a 30 minute drive away.

A recent guest left a lovely review and did us some great photos but for some reason he had problems adding the photos to the Lodge recommendation settings. So here is what he wanted me to add and we’ll also add all his brilliant photos:- he’ll explain in comments.

Just had the most amazing stay at a lodge that truly stands out. Margaret and James provided exceptional, personalized service, making every detail perfect. The lodge was immaculate and beautifully decorated, with a hot tub that was perfect for relaxing in the evenings. A special highlight was seeing Highland Cows up close, even a wee one coming up to the back fence and taking a bit of apple, such a unique experience. We’ll definitely be back. p.s. Decided to make them a few pics to help highlight the lodge and the beautiful surroundings. Some a wee bit ‘tongue in cheek’ especially the ‘Hot Tub’ one🤣🤣
