Our Story

Bought in 2016, the buildings at West Auchenhean were uninhabitable, having been previously used for a cannabis farm and left abandoned for years. With the roof collapsing, rotting window-frames and damp everywhere, a lengthy renovation process began.

We initially moved into the roughly patched-up cottage, while the work on the main house began. After living there for just over a year, in conditions not unlike camping, we were finally able to move into the completed house.

Phase two of the renovations then began, this time for the cottage. Now ready for guests, we are excited to welcome people onto the farm. Located in the countryside just outside Lochwinnoch, there is plenty to explore, if you can drag yourself away from the wood-burning stove or the outdoor hot tub!
