Our second interesting fact about this day in history happens to have a firm, direct link to tomorrow’s tour specifically (beyond demonstrating the fascinating & entertaining stimulation that will carry your soul across the sky for 2 hours or so while you gaze at the bestower of information who is primed equally with humility & self awareness)

But on this day 2005 the 6th installment in JK Rowling’s life-changing (not hyperbole- as to fall in love with reading really is to have your life changed) Harry Potter series- The Half Blood Prince was launched with 9million copies sold in 24 hours. Thousands of weirdly obsessive fans (myself included) queued up before midnight and dealt with that truly odd sensation of a ravenous hunger to gobble up the story & desperate thirst to stop and still have some story to gobble up before the long wait for number 7.

Today we’ll give you few little tasty factual treats re day in history, in case anyone wants to join us tomorrow on a FREE TOUR of Westminster ‘The Passage Through 1000 Blockbuster’- From The Crown to Alan Moore, passed some of Shakespeare’s Loftiest Peaks, Harry Potter Treasures Galore, Diamonds of The Romantics, Game of Thrones & SO MUCH MORE. We could live a myriad lifetimes & still not scratch the surface of all the pleasures, treasures, sights, stories, inspirations & over-confident squirrels that a short wander through Westminster has to offer...

Our first treat
A fascinating parallel with these unprecedented & testing times we’ve been living through, on this day in Henry VI’s parliament passed a law BANNING KISSING IN ENGLAND... so as to halt the spread of a (or The) Plague (akin to, though probably not the Black Death),
NB The Plague was then a generic term used rampantly spreading deadly infection- thus by those standards we have been living through an out break of Plague.
It was largely to put a stop to ritual kissing & kisses of greeting
If I remember correctly we had hugs & handshakes banned specifically but not kissing- does that mean we can say that a kiss was the 15th C version of the handshake or hug?

This Thursday morning (and thanks to today's rule change) we have 5 PLACES AVAILABLE available (or more than if you are a group from a single bubble) on the 'Inspiration for 1000 Blockbusters Tour'...
This is a walk through Westminster that focuses primarily on the sights,culture & history that are related to or direct inspiration for many of the most lauded, debated, loved, controversial or just plane breathtaking pieces of popular culture in the last 1000 years...

Good people, gentle-sapiens (& flora & fauna in general in case any of your pets or house plants are exceedingly literate and technologically competent)...LEND ME YOUR EYES
This Thursday (29th) you have the GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY to take a fascinating and innovative FREE TOUR with a guide as humble as he is cultured and handsome 😎🤔😅

These are NOT just tours for tourists & in fact I would be especially glad of the challenge of (whether because it is a city they feel they know already/have no wish take in any tourist hot-spots or have already seen these spots enough and can't imagine any of the content about them would make it any less boring). These at the moment are my ream guests as it allows no room for complacency, is the perfect indictment of it being worthwhile for anyone if THEY enjoy themselves; and I am hell-bent on making sure this is a quality experience in itself and not just leaching off crowd pleasing nature of London's points interest.

In the coming days you will get more of a flavour for how I am trying to make these MORE than just wander through many of London's must-see cultural sights AND MORE than even an entertaining and fascinating presentation of the necessary cultural & historical must-know facts...To us the facts are merely questions for which the sights provide some answers…
We are trying to do tours and their content differently and hopefully help to make them not just more entertaining, more interesting but more valuable. In an age where 'truth' can be hard to catch, we are tours for people who will love to chase it even when catching is impossible....
