One of the most beautiful hiking destinations in Albania is Mount Cika ( Mali i Cikes) 🥾⛰

The mountain mentioned by Lord Byron, is one of the most attractive points for climbers of the southern peaks of Albania.

What is the roof of the Albanian Riviera. It separates the Ionian Sea from the valleys of the Southern Highlands. Çika Mountain is 2045 meters high and is considered one of the highest peaks of the rugged Albanian relief. For professional climbers it is one of the most challenging areas used for training and skiing during the off-season. Çika over the mountains of Llogara is one of the stops included in the guides of many travel agencies, for fun near nature and for walking of a considerable level of difficulty.

March 7, is known as Teacher's Day in Albania, and is celebrated in all schools and universities. It is a day to remember and appreciate teachers for their dedication to teaching and preparing future generations. The beginning of this day coincides with the opening of the first Albanian classroom, which was opened in March 1887 in Korça, at a time when Albanians were learning Albanian secretly in their homes, due to Ottoman rule.👩‍🏫🧑‍🏫

-Tirana was declared the "European Youth Capital" for 2022, triumphing after a pretty strong competition with 4 other finalist cities such as; Baia Mare (Romania), Kazan (Russia), Poznań (Poland) and Varaždin (Croatia). The decision was given by a specialized jury composed of representatives from the most important European organizations and institutions such as; European Parliament, Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, Youth Council of the Council of Europe, etc.

Korça is a very good base for exploring many tourist points located in the nearby mountains such as Voskopoja, Dardha, Vithkuqi and Boboshtica. These villages are well known for offering the possibility to practice many outdoor sports and activities. The area is also famous for the Byzantine churches of Vithkuqi and Voskpoja, whose walls were painted by famous medieval Albanian painters. Close to Korça you can visit Prespa Lake (which is the country’s largest National Park), Drenova National Park, the Illyrian tummulus of Kamenica, etc. 🥰

Komiteti-Kafe Muzeum A museum in a coffee shop
Komiteti is the only place in Tirana that has 18 types of different “raki” which is a famous alcoholic drink in Albania. Another thing Iwe truly love and appreciate about Komiteti is the fact that the staff is willing to explain all the different objects that are part of the little museum inside the coffee shop. 😍
