Back for a week now from glorious Menorca to the rain and cold… A level and GCSE results are in. Time to book another holiday perhaps?!?

I’m here to help you plan, whether it’s a last weekend break in late summer / early autumn in Europe, halfterm fun slightly further afield to North Africa, a late Xmas and New Year escape or Jan and Feb long haul safari/ culture / and sun to beat those winter blues. Booking in advance gets you the best choices and prices…Larissa Private Travel360 Private TravelVirtuoso TravelForbes Travel Guide

Over and out from a fab family holiday in Menorca. It was a joyous 2 weeks, this last few days we survived the biblical storms that covered the entire Balearics, but hey ho
that’s travel for you! If I can’t handle that as a travel pro then I’m useless at my job! Nothing is set in stone and we had lots of laughter as always and the odd argument as well as A level results! Larissa Private TravelGreg AtkinsVirtuoso Travel360 Private TravelForbes Travel Guide

En route home. Made it from Nantes to Paris Montparnasse, a few metro stops later to Gare du Nord and voila we’re ordering g&t’s on a Friday evening in the Eurostar business class lounge! I’ve failed to post pics of the trip as we were so busy but they’ll be coming through slowly! In a nutshell, we tasted a lot of wine and cognac, saw some exceptionally fabulous hotels, were constantly damp and freezing and had a ball! You’d think I’d have this packing milarkey down to a ‘T’ what with my job being travel! But I still find organising myself for my work trips a tad tricky as they require multiple clean clothes as there’s rarely time to get laundry done. Packing for smart dinners with suppliers, running around cities/ wildlife reserves/ beach resorts etc…. It more often than not comes down to one thing! Overpacking:) Oops. That said I’m finding my new packing cubes v helpful as they have really focused my mind on what I need and how much I need! Count down to among other places. Leaving in a few hours.Larissa Private TravelLarissa Atkins360 Private Travel

Lunchtime in Menorca. Today we’ve come to see the most populous beach on the island. While gorgeous white sand and stunning aqua clear waters, it’s probably a tad too busy for a second visit. We came for the kids to do motorised Watersport’s but failed to see any. Also you need to arrive early to get a sun lounger and umbrella. The location is glorious though. Our Lunch view Greg Atkins.

I visited Antarctica at the end of 2022 and this is my view of what you can expect if you take a cruise to the white continent. For me it was a truly life affirming experience. I hope this gives you a feel for what you might see and experience.

Here’s something I’ve been working on, a series of My View vlogs on travel destinations. The first is about Botswana. One of my favourite countries and one of the most exclusive safari destinations in the world. The footage was taken on a trip last year on my iPhone to give you a take of what you actually see on the ground. I’ve worked in tailor made travel for over 20 yrs and much of this time I specialised in Africa. I hope you enjoy it.
