🌸 Embracing the Beauty of Korean Culture: Iowa State Students Explore Seoul 🌸
Our Iowa State students enjoyed an unforgettable day in South Korea. Dressed in stunning hanboks, they explored the majestic Gyeongbokgung Palace, marveling at its intricate architecture and timeless beauty. Their journey continued through the charming streets of Bukchon Village, where tradition and modern life blend seamlessly offering a perfect harmony of fashion, culture, and connection.
Hanboks are traditional Korean garments known for their vibrant colors, simple lines, and elegant shapes. They typically consist of a jeogori (a short jacket with long sleeves) and a chima (a high-waisted skirt) for women, and jeogori with baji (loose-fitting pants) for men. Hanboks are worn during traditional festivals, ceremonies, and special occasions, and they beautifully represent Korea’s cultural heritage and artistry. Wearing hanboks while visiting historical sites like Gyeongbokgung Palace helps people connect more deeply with Korean history and traditions.
