A portal to the ancient world
7000 years BC prehistoric people would burn the woods to the ground - to make animals vulnerable and visible in the open field, so they can hunt them. But our ancestors never touched this magical forest as it was sacred to them.
When your feet touches the moss covered ground of the emerald green forest it feels like you step into the dark brothers Grimm fairytale. Where an evil old witch is waiting for you just behind a crooked tree holding a magic potion.
A local legend tells about the red-eyed devilish hounds who murder those who get lost. The same legend inspired Arthur Conan Doyle to create The Hound of the Baskervilles.
Thatโs where Druids would perform their darkest rituals and even human sacrifices. But was it true or just Roman propaganda? We will never know. We have no one to ask.
What do you think? Is it where druids sacrificed people to Gods?
