⭐️ Travel Peaks Update! ⭐️

Today has already been a busy one and it’s only 10:30am. So just wanted to give a quick update as to what I’ve been up to this morning. And yes I’m in the garden office complete with fleecy top - thanks !

⭐️ I have been digging deeper in to a hotel dining concept and messaging the UK business development manager to check what is included in their all inclusive programme for a family holiday this summer

⭐️ I have been on a call with a fab tour operator checking availability for a honeymoon for South Africa and Mauritius

⭐️ Arranged two calls with clients this afternoon for their holiday enquiries this year

⭐️ Received a villa holiday enquiry from one of my regular clients for October half term for a multi
generational family trip

⭐️ Have welcomed back my clients who have just returned from their NYC, Mexico and Costa Rica honeymoon

and I will be making sure we have all our ducks in a row in a call at 11 for various clients departing in the next few weeks. We will be chasing up invoices from suppliers, emailing hotels for special requests, checking clients have all of their docs and are checked in to their flights if they would like us to do so!

What a way to wrap up for Christmas with a Winter Wedding 💒 🎄

I just want to take the opportunity to say thank you so much to all of my clients who have enquired or who have booked trips with me in 2024! And my family and friends who as always remain my biggest cheerleaders

Things that I’m most proud of this year:

⭐️ I have almost doubled my sales. At the end of 2023 I achieved £200k and at the end of 2024 I am on £365k!

⭐️ More importantly though my client satisfaction levels have remained high in my move over to Travel Counsellors at the start of the year

⭐️ I opened a new office (in my garden!)🪴 thanks to my husband and Spaces4You

⭐️ I have continued to learn more about responsible travel and spoke on a panel last summer as part of TTG Media’s fairer travel sustainability forum

⭐️ I started working with the most amazing assistant Melanie and had a great mentor in Marie Rowe - Luxury Travel Agent - thank you! I’ve been working with a few team mates as part of my TC community and look forward to working with them in 2025 too 💕

I hope you all have a fab Xmas and NY. I will be on hand intermittently during the festive period but rest assured we will be taking some down time too!

In October 2024, Cape Town was named the World's Best City for Food by the Condé Nast Traveller Readers' Choice Awards!

🌴 JUST BOOKED! Bali Beaches and Boat Rides G Adventure Tour 🌴

Lately I’ve been talking with clients who want to chat about their holidays in January. I totally understand end of year exhaustion but please trust me when I say January-March is the BUSIEST time of year for travel and unless you’re very flexible with your plans you will likely not be getting the best deals.

You might have noticed that certain airlines and tour operators have had sales in the last couple of months as discount periods are shifted earlier in the trade. Also most of the 2025 holidays I’ve been working on include early booking offers when booked before the new year arrives.

So if you can, please reach out to your travel agent (preferably me!) in December. They will have way more time to work on your enquiry, you will hear from them faster and be more pleased with their suggestions! 💚

🇿🇦 Exploring South Africa: Johannesburg 🇿🇦

I’ve just returned from the most amazing trip in South Africa and I’m so excited to share my experiences with you all, starting with Johannesburg! I booked the trip itinerary through one of my local partners on the ground Sense of Africa which was amazing for local knowledge! We were also really lucky to have family and friends in Johannesburg to show us around 🥰

Known as the vibrant heart of South Africa, this city is full of history and incredible culture.

From the moving stories at the Apartheid Museum to the tour we took at Constitutional Hill, home to South Africa’s Constitutional Court every day was a chance to learn. Walking through the court’s halls and former prison complex was a humbling reminder of the importance of human rights and freedom.

Johannesburg is also the perfect gateway to some of SA’s most amazing game reserves including the stunning Pilanesberg National Park, home to the Big 5 and more! Stay tuned for my upcoming safari post to hear all about my experience in Pilanesberg.

Hi friends, welcome to Purpose Travel's first Food Guide!

We are starting with the beautiful city of Vancouver. I was actually there last September and can attest to having some of the most AMAZING food. From the historic Chinatown, the many food trucks and upscale restaurants, Vancouver really has it all.

Now those who know me know I am not the biggest fan of fish or seafood BUT it would be frankly unprofessional of me to ignore the fact that so much of Vancouver's cuisine is sourced from the Pacific (and ethically too!)
