I can't believe it's been a year since the end of this amazing trip to Peru! It is such an extraordinary country, and to have experienced it with this fabulous group of people makes me feel so lucky.

Thank you to Gaynor Latin-Routes for the opportunity, Zoe Pope for being the best roommate I could have hoped for on my first ever FAM, and to everyone else in group 2 for being awesome!

In our week:

⛪️ we explored Lima,
🚈took the train to Aguas Calientes
⛰experienced the awe of the magical Machu Picchu,
🕍toured Cusco - one of my favourite cities in the world,
🏞and travelled around the Sacred Valley.

Today is Destination Seekers' birthday and I thought I would take some time to think about the highlights of the second year. In chronological order:

1) What a way to start my 2nd year - I got invited to the Latin Routes training academy in Peru by Gaynor Latin-Routes which departed not long after my first year anniversary, and included visits to the amazing Cusco and awe-inspiring Machu Picchu 🦙

2) Taking advantage of my excellent partnered tour companies by going on my own ski holiday with my family to Tignes with Club Med ⛷

3) My first visit on a Silversea cruise ship, experiencing the incredible facilities that my cruise customers benefit from 🛳

4) My second work trip of the year was an exploration of the incredible Alentejo region in Portugal, hosted by Visit Portugal and TAP Air. It was a beautiful region to travel around, I tried paddleboarding for the first time, and enjoyed some excellent Portuguese wine 🍷

5) Another highlight for me was visiting an expedition ship with Aurora Expeditions. This included a train journey all the way to Troon where the Greg Mortimer was docked ready for her journey around the British Isles. It's designed around adventure rather than luxury, but there were still beautiful facilities alongside the boot room and kayaks! 🛶

6) Having Destination Seekers recognised in the Best Start Up Business of the Year category at the Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce Business Awards. 🏆

7) Exhibiting at my favourite wedding show of the year, The Gay Wedding Show, in Manchester with Gay Wedding Show

8 ) Taking a trip with 6 of my customers (friends!) to LA and Las Vegas!! 🎰

9) I was extremely proud to win the Prestige Award for New Travel Agency of the Year - London and South East for 2024/25. 🎉

10) Celebrating my business achievements at The Holiday Franchise Company annual franchisee conference in the Cotswolds in January. 🏅

It has been a privilege to send happy customers all over the world, creating some really exciting itineraries, and receiving amazing reviews and pictures from their adventures! Thank you so much for trusting me with your trips and I look forward to booking for more of you in the future!
