HAPPY LINCOLNSHIRE DAY!

Today is Lincolnshire Day! It is celebrated every year on 1st October and marks the anniversary of the Lincolnshire Rising, a revolt by the Catholics against the establishment of the Church of England by Henry VIII in 1536.

Tom is eagerly awaiting the return of his father Willis at the glorious St Augustine's Church, Kilburn where he is Director of Music. After an extensive rebuild by the superb Harrison & Harrison Ltd company, it will once again be one of the finest organs in the UK. More updates as they come!

Our St. John's choir had a FANTASTIC tour of Trinity College Dublin from our guide (and chapel choral scholar) Johan. We were even lucky enough to have a look in the chapel, not normally open to tour groups. We also visited The Book of Kells Experience and saw Luke Jerram’s Gaia installation. Evensong at Saint Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin followed by a brilliant evening at Tenters Gastropub with excellent food and drink and attentive and lovely staff! A brilliant Friday!

The choir of St. John's have (mostly!) gathered in Dublin ready for their residency at the stunning St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin. Here they are, singing for their supper at the fantastic Hyatt Centric The Liberties Dublin where we are being looked after so well! A trip to the west coast tomorrow before a busy week of singing, activities, trips and socialising! Wish you were here!
