As the second addition to Virgin Voyages impressive ship roster, the Valiant Lady joins the popular Scarlet Lady to elevate the modern cruise holiday experience. To celebrate the launch of this impressive vessel, Virgin Voyages decided to host a handful of โopen shipโ days allowing visitors to get a taste of the experience that awaits on their holiday cruises. On Tuesday 15th March, we made our way down to Liverpool to understand exactly what the Valiant Lady has to offer.
Spread across the multiple decks of the ship are over 20 eateries, from restaurants hosting opulent dinners to smaller stalls serving up late-night treats. As part of the dayโs experience, we were given the option to enjoy a full meal in one of the shipโs eateries - we chose to dine in the Mexican speciality restaurant Pink Agave.
Overall, the food was very impressive. Every dish we tried was a good portion size and encompassed a range of flavours to emulate the delicious taste of Mexican cuisine. The service we received was additionally impeccable - from the hosts to the bar staff and the waiters, everybody was incredibly friendly and attentive. Pink Agave certainly left a good impression and would definitely be worth a visit for any cruise goers.
When it comes to the onboard residences, the Valiant Lady houses an incredible 1,330 cabins. For an extra dash of luxury, the ship also has a selection of VIP accommodation options with 78 RockStar Quarters and two glamorous Massive Suites. We were able to have a look inside 6 of the different room types offered on the ship: Sea Terrace, Brilliant Suite, Cheeky Corner Suite, Gorgeous Suite, Fab Suite and Massive Suite.
Across each of the residences, the standout points were definitely the cleanliness, modern design and good amount of space. Every room is also equipped with an iPad mini, allowing guests to browse the TV catalogue and order room service amongst other features. As we progressed through the room categories, it was clear to see the benefits that come with each upgrade including stocked up bars, increased bathroom space, living areas, console options and bigger balconies.
Spread across the shipโs 17 decks are a huge selection of impressive facilities to cater to everything passengers could want or need. This includes a pool club, hot tubs, running track, gym, basketball court, multiple shops, a private karaoke bar, multi-floor nightclub, live performance theatre, an arcade, a spa, a casino and even a tattoo parlour! We were able to walk around freely and explore the ship at our leisure, allowing us to take a peak at all the exciting activities that await the summerโs holiday makers.
