Hi, I'm Isla, a TV producer/reporter in London & solo traveller.
I've always wished while travelling that I could have the safety and comfortability of a travel tour, while experiencing the true local cultures and meeting local people... But I find tours often leave you feeling detached, rush you in places where you want to take it slow, and only show you the tip of the iceberg with regards to local culture. I want to change that.
I curate locally-crafted tours across the whole of Egypt with my local Nubian friends.. Nubian is the oldest Black culture in the world and they are probably the kindest people you will meet.. In your life. They will leave you feeling like a part of their family.
They can take you on felucca rides on their boats, introduce you to their music and instruments, camel rides through the desert, temple trips at Luxor, Abu Simbel excursions, pyramids, red sea, sandboarding.. All while telling you about the real, deep history of indigenous Egypt.
This is a side to Egypt that the majority of tourists don't see!
I'm passionate about travelling deeply and learning about local cultures and people, but also about travelling comfortably, respectfully and safely.
Often Nubia is an overlooked place on tours but it is honestly the best kept secret.. Hence why I'm going back to live there...
