Adult Only - Beats, Sleep, Repeat in happening Halkidiki. Based on 2 passengers Half-Board for 10 nights @ £1387pp

This newest Adults-only hideaway in Halkidiki, is there for the drop after the beat drops, when you’re floating home on a high in the soft dawn light ready to crawl under the puffiest of duvets before the next night’s cued up.It’s the cooler younger brother breezing in to show his older siblings how to combine relaxation, play and fun perfectly.

This all-white sanctuary – with a soothing splash of turquoise pool, fuchsia spritz of bougainvillea, and green spray of palm fronds to add some club colour – is where you sip and sway on a swing chair in a mint- and lemongrass-scented garden, press your beach lounger’s button to call for champagne, and pose on a day-bed till the DJs fire up and the partying starts. The gentlest, friendliest of pit stops between late late nights.

At the hotel guest will find a public beach, beach club, lounging terraces, fire pit, twin spa suites, open-air gym, concierge, charged laundry service, free WiFi. In rooms: TV, maxibar, Nespresso coffee machine, tea-making kit, beach towels, air-conditioning, and bathrobes and slippers.

All rooms are equipped with TV, maxibar, Nespresso coffee machine, tea-making kit, beach towels, air-conditioning, and bathrobes and slippers. The design is a breezy Halkidiki look (white as an antique statue, with raffia and wicker touches, lifted with colourful local artworks), and some with outdoor space.

If you wake from a champagne-soaked night cursing the Greek gods for your choices, then you may be willing to forgive them after one of the heavenly rituals offered at the spa. Indulge in some Hippocratic-style healing and be slicked in honey; or scrubbed with rosemary, lemon and carob seed; be massaged with CBD oil or a percussive Theragun; or reclaim your glow with a ‘face fitness workout’.

Worth getting out of bed for:

Kassandra, spools of golden shoreline are dotted with open-air clubs where bottles pop with abandon and some revellers get to see the sun set and rise but try to get in a few hangover-free days for exploring ancient monuments and natural wonders. Spread out a towel on Blue Flag Chaniotis Beach, just a few steps away from the hotel, and the gateway to snorkelling and diving, paddle-boarding, jet-skiing, and fishing trips. From here, speedboats and yachts can be chartered with skippers. You can sail out to Mount Athos, too, where a Unesco-protected monastic society dating back to Byzantine times. Accessible-to-all historic sites include the ruins of Olynthus city, dating back to Neolithic times, Aristotle’s birthplace Stagira and its lush botanical gardens, and the Temple of Ammon Zeus in Kallithea, which you can chase with some rock-pool exploring along the rugged shoreline and a hot-springs soak (Agia Paraskevi is also scenic spa-ing central). Follow up with downtime on a Jeep safari through Kassandra; taking a time out in Vourvourou village; floating over to only-reachable-by-boat Diaporos Island for some secluded water-based fun; or flopping down on Blue Flag beaches Paliouri, Pefkohori and wilder Possidi beach and cape (you’ll need a four-wheel drive to reach this, and bring snacks and drinks). Sip and sup through the tavernas of Thessaloniki’s Ladadika neighbourhood, or take a bite out of Kassandra’s gastro scene, tasting olive oil and wines (popping bottles at the likes of Tzikas, Domaine Gerovassiliou and Claudia Papagianni.

Luxurious and elegant 18th Century mansion set in fantastic architectural Balearic city of Mahon. Based on 2 passengers £649pp

Mahon sits on impressive, fortified ridge, above a harbour in one of the most unspoilt coastlines in Spain. Its laid-back town bares architectural evidence of its British occupation in the 18th century with four-storey Georgian house – it’s a good-looking city that’s for sure.

This stunning mansion makes an appealing alternative to the islands large scale beach hotels – complete with an outdoor pool, peaceful patio, bijou spa and smart bistro – it’s a unique urban hideaway in the heart of the city.

Stylish sophistication reigns with a touch of glamour - a bold navy lounge, glass fronted log burner, soaring arched door that open on to the walled garden and patio giving a firm nod to its former small palace / stately home reign. Sleek bathrooms, contemporary furniture all graciously blended with Farrow & Ball colours completes the look making the setting a visual and soothing delight.

Amazing Porto - a place to call home amongst the artists, artisans and fabulous architecture for 7 nights @ £589pp.

These fabulous apartments sit perfectly within the heart of Porto and just 7 minutes stroll from the Clerigos Tower. Fernandine Wall can be reached within 14 minutes walk and the famous Bom Sucesso Market within 25 minutes, but don’t be put off, as Porto is very much a city to be discovered on foot.

In-room amenities include ironing facilities, air conditioning, as well as free Wi-Fi and a satellite TV for periods whilst chilling at the apartment, but I suspect, it’ll will very much go unused, as there is too much to see and do, in this wonderfully, vibrant city oozing the arts, culture, great architecture, wine and food. Beds are fitted with hypoallergenic down pillows and bathrooms feature a walk-in shower, and hairdryers.

Each unit comes equipped with kitchen and includes a microwave, a hob top, kitchenware, mini fridge, tea and coffee making equipment. WOW, bargain alert…….Mystical, magical and mesmerizing Marrakech @ £498pp.

I was first introduced to Marrakech in 1978, when my inquisitive, and fun-loving mother, with a newly found freedom and wanderlust, took my sister and I on a camping holiday to Agadir during Ramadan with two of her vivacious, thirty-something girlfriends. I know, I know – it was totally bonkers, especially during their holiest of months to lie under a dusty piece of cloth for two weeks, but what a mad, and exciting experience for five, lasses fresh from a remote village in Scotland. It was a crazy adventure from start to finish, filled with many dicey, hair-raising moments, but it makes a cracking story to be told at a dinner party amongst my bezzies.

Marrakech is an intoxicating city of sight, sounds and smells that will slap your senses left, right, and centre. It dazzles, frazzles, and excites from every tight, rambling, dusty alleyway conceivable – Its people are as colourful as its babouches, mountainous displays of ground spices and glistening rows of bright, patterned pottery. Its energy is electrifying and pulsates at every given turn. No two visits will ever be the same – it's a spellbinding, hypnotic destination and one that never fails to intrigue and excite.

If you’re considering a visit, and wanting a great bang for your buck, this stunning Riad delivers on all fronts. Tucked down a winding derb behind the Mouassine mosque, it sits in a great location and offers super stylish Art Deco design and a wonderful personal atmosphere at an incredibly good price.

The Djemaa el-Fna and some of the best medina restaurants and shops are all within five minutes' walk. Taxis are available at the Djemaa.

The riad may be small but it is perfectly formed. It feels very much like the home it once was and offers a great experience of living in the heart of the medina. It is run by it’s two Italian owners, who greet their guests like long lost friends. Their house manager ably assists in helping to arrange cookery lessons, accompany guests to dinner bookings down the medina’s alleyways and organise excursions.

A blockin-rockin 6-night stay in Queens, NYC flying direct with Virgin Atlantic in Premium Economy. Based on 2 passengers @ £2124pp.

This gorgeous waterside hotel is a part of a tight-knit local community that includes the much-fêted hip eateries serving burgers, burritos and tacos, and Queens brewery: breezy staff are made up of Queens locals, the hotel supports more city-based small businesses than one could count on two (sun-kissed) hands. The six-storey Scandi-style block has over 16,000 sq ft of outdoor space – and puts it to good use. There’s an outdoor heated pool with loungers; a rooftop with views of surfers and the city; and a mind-clearing yoga deck facing the ocean. Every room has a view (choose between the sparkling Atlantic or genteel bay) and features photography by NYC-based creatives – a theme that continues throughout, with its curated collection of 150 art pieces.

At the hotel:
Outdoor heated pool, spa with infrared sauna, yoga classes, priority rooftop access and exclusive use of loungers, bikes to borrow, restaurant, coffee shop, bar, use of beach chairs, towels and umbrellas. In rooms: WiFi, TV with Chromecast, free morning coffee, robes, Goldie bath products.

About the rooms:
All rooms are thoughtfully designed with sustainable furnishings and quirks, but if you like to start your day with a blast of fresh air then opt for a deluxe ocean view room with rattan-chair adorned terrace.

At the spa:
There’s an infrared barrel sauna (known benefits include better sleep and clearer skin; sign us up), plus daily wellness classes including hatha yoga, vinyasa flows and ‘sculpting’ cardio sessions. You can book in for a treatment, too!

The hotel’s restaurant:
The ground-floor restaurant dishes up American classics like (lobster mac and cheese, New England clam chowder and steak cuts) and reinvented twists on seaside favourites. There’s also the street-side café: a coffee house with your usual orders plus on-tap cold brew, drip coffee and frozen hot chocolates.

The hotel’s bar:
The sixth-floor rooftop bar is a fine example of indoor-outdoor living – its marble-topped bar is positioned behind a wall of glass to protect punters from the elements on windy nights. Look south towards the Atlantic, or north to by, Brooklyn and the Manhattan skyline. Cocktails are creative and more importantly, delicious!

Getting there:
JFK airport is 20 minutes’ drive away and NYC easily reachable by car within 50minutes

Out and about:
Start off at the beach just one block from the hotel to ride the waves. It’s the only surfing beach in NYC. Head towards 90th and 98th street for eateries; or between 105th and 116th for peace and quiet. Explore much of the peninsula on foot thanks to the five-mile-long boardwalk. Hike east to Fort Tilden – following the trails through lush bushes to abandoned concrete batteries dating back to the Second World War. Climb up Battery Harris East for a rather surreal vista of deep blue ocean, wild greenery and the NYC skyline. The location also hosts is one of the country’s largest nature preserves within city limits, and you can explore the maze of waterways and islands at sunset with Jet Skis.

Whilst the internet is an indispensable tool when looking for a holiday, it also has its pitfalls. Booking online will not assist with your online check-in & seat allocation, research to find the perfect restaurant for that special occasion or assist in the event of a crisis.

I offer my clients a personal and professional service, at a time suited to them. I’m not constrained to normal office hours, so easily contactable in the evenings, weekends and during public holidays. No automated calls - just one point of contact guaranteed before, during and after your travels.

With access to thousands of offers from our destination specialists and worldwide suppliers, the latest in-house travel technology, combined with a passion for researching the perfect product, I can assist with all travel needs, tailor-made specifically in line with my client’s requirements.

From flight, train or accommodation only, bespoke itineraries, package deals, to those once-in-a-lifetime adventures, such as diving with the whale sharks in Cebu or retreating to a stylish tented lodge on the banks of Tatai River in Cambodia - I can help you achieve your wanderlust dreams, suited to all budget levels.
