Florence Trust A year long studio residency housed in Grade 1 listed church St Saviours, North London since 1990 ?

Housed in an inspiring Grade 1 listed Victorian church the trust provides the opportunity to work for one year with a small group of carefully selected artists, pushing the boundaries of their work and exploring new ideas. The Trust offers an exceptional experience well beyond the normal provision of studio space with access to our networks, individual career support and opportunities. For many artists, their period with us has been a turning point in their careers.

‘A metal flower is a dead flower’ (made by FT artist Silvia Lerín during her residency in 2017) has been acquired by the valencian ‘Conselleria de Cultura’ for its collection. Congratulations!

Florence Trust alum Silvia Lerín Silvia Lerin Art showing her last installation commissioned by Sculpt at St. Mary's Church in Masham, Northyorkshire until 28 Serptember.

Silvia Lerin’s sculpture ‘Neons from Heaven’ was commissioned by and Arts Council England for Masham Church in the Yorkshire Dales and is on show throughout the summer, until 28 September.

The sculpture is made of canvas tubes, each capped with a mirror. Looking up to the heavens for guidance, the viewer might reflect that the answers lie in ourselves. The sculpture programme encourages visitors to consider church spaces as being for ourselves in the context of the surrounding history and architecture.

Florence Trust alum Claire Nichol's solo show BAM-BOO opens Thursday 25 at the ArtWorks Project Space, Barbican Arts Group Trust (BAGT). The exhibition brings together new tactile and geometric compositions using existing materials gathered from the area surrounding the BAGT and accumulated over time from different studios and artist residencies. #clairenichols
