Le photographe Mickael Stibling décroche en Novembre 2015 un poste d’agent de service au sein du Centre Jules Ferry pour ‘’l’accueil de jour des personnes migrantes’’ à Calais. Pendant un an, Mickael documente le quotidien des exilés dans ce bidonville dénommé ‘’la Jungle’’, connu alors pour être le plus grand d’Europe. En 2020, il cherche à retrouver certaines de ces personnes prises en photographie.

Generation Gap feat Show Racism the Red Card
The West End of Newcastle. Two teams. A football ground. The desire to win, and have fun. But win regardless. After all, parents have come to spend the day and enjoy the game. What could have been just another football game has turned out to be a day of discovery and friendship. Friendship as a way to show racism the red card. Friendship as the way to understand each other. And the beloved sport as a medium to bring people together, old and young. Parents and kids. Communities. Bridging the generation gap, boosting trust and busting prejudices.
We worked so hard, and so late into several nights to put this film together with co-editor Simon Rushton, sound engineer Stephen Lee and director of photography Jack Wilkinson.

'Peace Camp' feat Fiona Shaw
Something extraordinary happened this year as part of the London 2012 Festival. Inspired by the Olympic Truce, whose roots date back to Ancient Greece, renowned director Deborah Warner was commissioned to create a coastal installation encircling the UK in collaboration with actor Fiona Shaw.
Eight murmuring, glowing encampments appeared at some of our most beautiful and remote coastal locations, from County Antrim to the tip of Cornwall, from the Isle of Lewis to the Sussex cliffs - as well as Cemaes Bay, Anglesey, where this film was shot. Designed to be visited between dusk and dawn, Peace Camp was a poignant exploration of love poetry and a celebration of the extraordinary variety and beauty of our coastline.
Peace Camp was co-commissioned by London 2012 Festival.

Making-of documentary of 'A Short Epic About Love' (VOST)
'A Short Epic About Love' is an award-winning short film by Josephine Halbert and shot on 35mm. It is set during the filming of 'Cleopatra', and follows a young girl's quixotic adventures through the films studio locations.
There was so much happening on this set that we had to work fast and effectively to capture as much as possible in order to create an original documentary of the film. Alongside general production, we also shot interviews with cast and crew.

Laurynas Bolnis était déjà très doué artistiquement et la caméra n'avait aucun secret pour lui. Le gars est un artiste. Il est venu participer à notre atelier pour apprendre et expérimenter avec l'esthétique du cinéma documentaire, qu'il ne connaissait pas. Notre travail ici, c'était de le pousser à ses limites, et dans ses retranchements. Je pense que le résultat parle de lui-même, et que le film vieillit bien. Notre ami et monteur Dan Chapman est un magicien du montage. Il y a beaucoup à apprendre dans ce petit film. Et enfin, évidemment, le plus important ça reste les gens devant la caméra.

The project became an epic collision of Hugh's memories of the island and the reality of being there - it was a truly creative time.

ENG: 38 year-old Imran Naeem puts would-be future world boxing champions through their paces in a sweaty Middlesbrough gym. But he's not just teaching his pupils to deliver the perfect punch, his infectious enthusiasm is breaking down social and ethnic barriers in a multicultural society.
FR : Imran Naeem, 38 ans, mets à l'épreuve les potentiels futurs champions du monde de boxe dans un club de boxe mythique à Middlesbrough dans le nord de l'Angleterre. Mais il n'enseigne pas seulement aux élèves le punch parfait, son enthousiasme contagieux élimine les frontières sociales et ethniques de la société multiculturelle britannique.

Boxing Clever, c'est l'histoire d'une salle de boxe, et d'un coach exceptionnel. C'est un univers, un cocon où les différences sont mises de côté, ou plutôt valorisées. Où la haine laisse la place à l'amitié. C'est un film qui a quelques années certes, mais certains films comptent plus que d'autres. C'est un (très) court métrage, avec probablement une certain naïveté dans le propos, et pleins de petits défauts. On est toujours, nous les gens derrière la caméra, les plus critiques, et ce n'est pas évident de ressortir certaines œuvres dans ce domaine. Mais le plus important ce n'est pas là. C'est l'intention artistique, la sincérité, et l'expérience unique que cela a été de tourner avec mes acolytes Stephen Lee, Jack Wilkinson et bien sûr Imran Naeem, au centre de ce film, ainsi que ses frères et soeurs en armes Sam Reeve double-champion britannique de kick-boxing à l'époque, et Louise Anton-Wilson championne de kick-boxing des 5 Nations. De très belles personnes, avec la passion du sport dans le sang. I miss you all!

Homeless is a touching portrait of Geordie lad Tony Young and what life is like for him on the streets of Newcastle upon Tyne.

FR : ''Homeless'' est un petit film aussi réalisé avec des jeunes talents, en atelier. Je m'étonne moi-même de partager cela aujourd'hui, mais le film est malheureusement encore pertinent. Surtout en cette saison hivernale. J'ai mis des années à comprendre que ce documentaire avait été réalisé dans une approche collective : j'approche le sujet - ici Tony le sans-abri - mène l'interview, pose les questions, et c'est à moi que Tony s'adresse. Zeeshan Akram tendait la perche et micro, Šarūnas Žaronaitis tenait la caméra. Tous les deux tremblaient, car c'est la première fois qu'ils tournaient. Stephen Lee mixait le son en direct, et lui et moi, en tant que producteurs, guidions nos deux jeunes dans la prise de vues et la prise de son. Au charbon. C'est comme cela que nous étions convaincus, nous le sommes encore, que c'est le meilleur moyen d'apprendre à faire des films. Laurynas Bolnis, pour finir, a sillonné la ville en soirée, avec passion et entrain, pour nous ramener quelques plans plus libres, une carte blanche visuelle, pour élever le film. Dan Chapman qui donne sa touche très personnelle au montage, lui qui n'a pas assisté au tournage ni aux discussions.
Nous avons eu la chance de tomber sur Tony, qui malgré sa situation difficile, nous a ouvert son cœur, et a raconté sa vie. Son ouverture d'esprit est exemplaire. Auriez-vous accepté d'être interviewé dans une telle situation ? Il nous a fait c
