I am an enthusiastic, entertaining, educational and interactive London tour guide conducting popular and fascinating tours of my wonderful city in person and online! "When a man (or woman!) is tired of London, he is tired of life"
Dr Samuel Johnson. I enjoy sharing quirky and fascinating stories of London with my guests and here's an example: Do you know where the term "daylight robbery" comes
from? During the 18th century, a tax was introduced on any house which possessed over six windows which resulted in occupants bricking up their windows. You will see many examples as you wander around the city. The tax was used to part-fund the wars with France. The phrase "daylight robbery" was invented during this period to reflect the fact that the government was literally robbing you of your daylight! I am an optimistic and easygoing guy. Always interested in meeting new people from all over the world and all walks of life. I am an actor and co-founded a theatre company, Rooftop, performing summer seasons of Shakespeare. I am a drama teacher and specialise in teaching theatre workshops to international students in London, Italy and China. I regularly travel and have lived abroad on several occasions. I am a former British Cultural Representative for Walt Disney World in Florida. Interests include: theatre, film, London's history and culture, classics, football, travelling and meeting new and interesting people. So join me on an educational and interactive walk around this great city! "All of us are in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars"
