🌿 We continue our partnership with tech science company NatureMetrics and the International Union of Conservation of Nature (IUCN) to build the eBioAtlas – a global atlas of life in the world’s river basins and wetlands. As part of our commitment to give back to nature, our customers measure biodiversity on selected adventures by collecting environmental DNA from freshwater samples. This process relies on species leaving traces of their DNA in environments like waterways, wetlands, and forests. After the trip, our customers receive a report of their findings.

Have you been to Vietnam & Cambodia?

"Just finished an incredible journey through Vietnam and Cambodia and I'm still buzzing! 😍 The landscapes were even more stunning than I imagined, especially cruising through the serene Halong Bay and the vibrant lights & nightlife of Hoi An. The highlight of the trip was discovering the ancient temples of Angkor – it felt like stepping back in time but my best part was meeting an amazing group of fellow travelers who quickly became friends. This adventure has set the bar high for future trips!" 🚶‍♂️ - Johani P

Ever loved one of our trips so much that you wanted to do it ALL again? 😍 Well, Exodus adventurer, Geoff, has done just that!

He's completed our Sierra de Aitana trek an incredible 5️ times! We caught up with the amazing Geoff to find out what it is about this particular trip that keeps him coming back:

"I have always enjoyed my trips to Aitana. Jose Miguel is an outstanding leader, worthy of his Exodus award a few years back - his humour, support and encouragement, knowledge of the area and willingness to help with guests' problems help make the walking week very much a pleasure. The accommodation has always been good, with a particular area devoted to Exodus where guests can make tea/coffee and enjoy local snacks - at no cost! The packed lunches made by Jose are worthy of mention - substantial and tasty, and tailored to individual likes/dislikes. Hotel food is home cooked and well known - locals go there for lunch! The walks take in the best of the local scenery, usually away from the crowds and well within the holiday grading. Up on the limestone fells, with no-one else around it is hard to believe that Benidorm is a short ride away."

Today we're spotlighting our leader of the month! This month, we're shining a light on Samer Hajic, one of our leaders in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Find out more about Samer's story:

"I am originally from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sarajevo continues to be my home to this day. I'm a certified mountain guide by the Mountaineering Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina and UIAA standards (Official International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation, partner of the International Olympic Committee), and have a degree in Sociology. I've been guiding Exodus Travel mountain trips since 2006 (for 18 years now). When not leading trips, I am involved in the development of new outdoor adventure itineraries. My passion for the mountains and the rigours of the outdoors, combined with the warm-heartedness of the local people, left an indelible impression on me a long time ago. It will be my great pleasure to show you this part of the world and the area which holds a special place in my heart - the Dinaric Alps."

What's your favourite part of India to travel in?

For Charlotte, it was her recent trip to Kerala: "The peaks amongst the tea plantations of Kerala offer some of the world’s best views, and the incredible food means you won’t lose a single calorie getting to the top!
Our guide San in Kerala was great. He told us loads about the country as well as making sure we always knew what where we were, and what to see. The food on the hiking, arranged through the group, was especially brilliant - there no way planning your own routes and hiring local guides directly you’d be that lucky to have such a great experience."
