Not long to go to get yourself booked onto our Escorted Journey from London to Marrakech by train 🚆 on 3rd April. Yes, you read it right, all the way to Morocco on the train!🇲🇦 Prices are held at last year's £1,499 per person for 10 days!

This is an escorted journey led by our Rail Manager Zak, who comes from Marrakech, making him the perfect leader for this trip! 😎
An escorted journey is for independent tourists who want a bit of extra peace of mind when navigating this long trip. It's not an escorted tour - you'll be able to wander around at each stop on your own - Zak will be there to make sure you get your connections and provide some insight and guidance if you want it.

The route takes you on the Eurostar from St Pancras through Spain with stops at Barcelona and Ronda. Then, its a ferry across from Spain to Tangier in Morocco. 🐪Travel down to capital Rabat for a stop before ending your holiday in Marrakech. You can choose to extend your stay, fly home or we'll book your trains in reverse for the return journey.

What a great finale to our year of 10th anniversary celebrations!

We hosted over 100 loyal customers and subscribers at the London Transport Museum for an audience with Rail Experts Mark Smith [ Man in Seat 61 - seat61.com), Andy Brabin [] and TMR founder Simon Hodge, all hosted by long time Lonely Planet rail contributor Tom Hall.

Our experts shared stories, advice and insight from their many many rail journeys across Western Europe, Eastern Europe and beyond - we'll be posting about it very soon. Special thanks to Switzerland Tourism 🇨🇭 for supporting the event and providing some excellent raffle prizes, and to Zürich Tourism.

It's pretty awesome when you get to meet and chat to so many past customers and fellow rail enthusiasts 🚉! Thank you to everyone who came along and made it a night to remember, thanks to the team at the London Transport Museum for delivering a great experience. We're almost at the end of our run of Tailor Made Rail Roadshows, part of our 10th Anniversary year celebrations.

For the past couple of months, we've been touring the UK meeting customers to talk about and book their ideal rail holiday. Our team has visited Southampton, Bristol, Manchester and Edinburgh with one date left at our London HQ on 9th October.

Meeting some of our regular, loyal guests in person has been a fabulous experience. What better than to talk about exciting destinations and holiday plans over a coffee or glass of wine in a wonderful city centre location.

Thanks to everyone who's attended, we've really enjoyed it.

Perhaps we'll do it again in 2025....

Is it too early to talk about Christmas? Absolutely not! We've dusted off and updated our Christmas Markets holiday itineraries - live now on our website.

We have a 6 day twin-centre Basel and Strasbourg holiday - the Basel markets open on the 28th Nov and Strasbourg on the 27th.

And a 5 day Cologne and Ghent option. Cologne opens early from 18th November, Ghent on December 5th - but it's great to visit even if the market isn't on.

There are countless other Christmas markets available to visit in cities across Europe - and we can tailor make a holiday to include one or more. Just let us know when and where you want to go and our team of well-travelled rail and destination experts will do all the hard work.

Oh, and enjoy the Glühwein!

We are excited to announce some brand new Scandinavian holidays including a trip on the famous Hurtigruten - a fleet of ships that travel along the coast of Norway up to the Artic Circle.

Combining the train and the Hurtigruten, we've launched a Hurtigruten Coastal Express holiday or, if you're after a bigger trip, a Scandinavian Grand Tour!

We're expecting these to be popular for this year and next - as the Northern Lights are expected to put their most spectacular shows in more than a decade.

The Italian lakes are one of most popular holiday destinations. But, did you know that just a short hop over Lake Lugano is the less-visited region of Ticino. And it's not Italian, its Swiss!

Ticino has a very Italian feel - you'll find plenty of gelato but hardly any fondue - and the architecture, atmosphere and culture are influenced by it's Italian neighbour.

It's also very easy to get to by rail, plus the scenery as you travel through France and Switzerland is stunning.
