Located 600 km from Abidjan, the city of Man is a tourist hotspot.

Today we invite you to discover the famous waterfalls of this mountainous city in western Cรดte d'Ivoire.

Man has several waterfalls but the most visited are those of Zadepleu, Goba and Glongouin. Each of them has a particular charm and a tourist activity that you can do in addition to seeing these natural waterfalls.

By going to the Zadepleu waterfalls, you can also see the monkeys of the sacred forest.

In Glongouin, you can either see from afar or if you are a trekker, climb the highest peak in Cรดte d'Ivoire, the dent de Man.

As for Goba, you can stay on site or visit all the tourist facilities and enjoy yourself.

Last Saturday, 3 statues were unveiled in Cotonou before the country independence day:

๐Œ๐จ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐€๐ฆ๐š๐ณ๐จ๐ง: The statue is made of a metal structure, with a bronze envelope, 30m high and weighing 150 tons per foot placed on a mound. The monument is erected on the esplanade of the Amazon for its tourist interest with many amenities. The area offers opportunities for relaxation, outdoor activity for residents and visitors. This monument is built to represent a historical feminine force which must serve as a landmark for present and future generations of Benin, a symbol of the history of Benin and the epic of illustrious characters.

๐Œ๐จ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐๐ข๐จ ๐†๐ฎ๐ž๐ซ๐ซ๐š: With a total height of 10m including 10m in length, 3m in width and 7m in height for a mass of 13 tons, the statue of Bio Guera is located on the roundabout of the International Airport Cardinal Bernardin Gantin de Cadjรจhoun (AICBG). The statue is made of T3 copper and rests on a reinforced concrete block. The construction of this monument at the country's air gateway is a message to visitors about the symbol of the attachment of the people of Benin to the defence of noble causes, their freedom and their sovereignty and the highlighting of the dimension nationality of the character (beyond his environment of origin).

It is an obelisk with a total height above ground of 15m surmounted by a pyramidion covered with a gold-coloured sheet with a mass of 17 tons. It is made of a galvanized steel metal structure with a black granite stone covering and rests on a reinforced concrete base. The monument to the devoted (now) pays homage to all the dead who led the fight for the integrity and prosperity of the Beninese nation.

After the celebration of the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen, we want to introduce our West African royalties and their households.

Before the colonisation, the kings were very powerful and were in charge of their regions. During and after the colonial period, their status was reduced to Custodians of Customs and Traditions.
They currently do not have political powers but are very powerful in their regions. Some of them are the keepers of spiritual powers so nothing can be done in their regions without their approval.

Every Monday, we will introduce you to some of the popular and charismatic kings of Togo, Benin, Ivory Coast, Ghana and Senegal.

Throughout her long reign, the queen visited West Africa several times.

Her Majesty the Queen visited Ghana twice, in November 1961 and in November 1999.

During her 1961 tour, the Queen famously danced with Ghana's president Kwame Nkrumah at a farewell ball in Accra, which many scholars believe was a symbolic moment in the history of the Commonwealth.
