2025 Travel Trends: The trend that’s not really a trend - Solo Travel.

Whilst the industry sees an increase in bookings for solo travel, this shift is far mode more significant than a fleeting trend. It represents a deeper societal change in how people, particularly women, are choosing to live their lives. As societal norms change with lower marriage and birth rates, later-life partnerships, and an increase in women in senior roles, we know that western women today have more independence and fewer ties to traditional home life.

The solo travel movement is a reflection on this and shows absolutely no signs of slowing down!

There’s a misconception that solo travellers embark on their journey’s due to unfortunate circumstances - that they are unwillingly single, newly widowed or divorced. Yet far from being a last resort, solo travel is an empowering expression of freedom and opportunities. Solo travellers are untethered from the expectations of their peers and are exploring the world on their own terms, embracing new experiences seeking growth, and connection.

2025 Travel Trends: Multi-Generational Holidays

Multi-generational holidays are a trend that’s here to stay, and it’s no surprise. Spending quality time with loved ones has never felt more important.

This New Year, I headed to Tromsø with my husband, daughter, sister, mum, and stepdad. It’s a trip I suggested this time last year as it dawned on me how quickly time passes and how precious these moments are. The time to make memories is NOW.

Planning a trip for different ages, interests, and travel preferences takes careful thought, but with everything organised in advance, all we had to do was enjoy ourselves. And enjoy ourselves we did! By the end, we were all wondering why we hadn’t done it sooner.

Life is busy and unpredictable, but whatever lies ahead, we’ll always have these shared memories to look back on (and we’ve all agreed that next time, we’re heading somewhere warm! 😆).
