Eid Mubarak to all celebrating! 🌙✨

Today marks Eid al-Adha, the "Festival of Sacrifice," one of Islam's most significant celebrations.

Unlike Eid al-Fitr which marked the end of Ramadan earlier this year, Eid al-Adha commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice for his faith and coincides with the annual Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca.

This beautiful festival emphasises themes of devotion, charity, and community - values that resonate deeply in our interconnected world of travel and hospitality.

As families and friends gather to celebrate, we're reminded of the joy that comes from bringing people together.

The key traditions in this Eid are those who can afford it sacrifice an animal (usually a sheep, goat, cow, or camel), symbolising Ibrahim's devotion.
Charity is also a huge component of Islam, where one-third of the meat is given to the poor, one-third to relatives, and one-third kept for the family.

Eid al-Adha is a public holiday in many Muslim-majority countries.

Wishing peace, prosperity, and meaningful connections to all our partners and colleagues observing this blessed occasion.
