I was able to catch the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace in this beautiful weather on Friday. This ceremony is where The King’s Guard hands over responsibility for protecting Buckingham Palace and St. James’s Palace to the New Guard. The ceremony is a history of 520 years so it’s worth to weave through the crowd, finding a good spot to experience the ceremony. 🙏 Doris TW Chan

Left Nailsworth in the morning stopping at Lower Slaughter before heading to Oxford. The name of the village derives form the Old English term “slough” meaning “wet land”, where most of the 16th and 17th century homes in the village use Cotswold limestone. It’s very much worth a visit to this tranquil village.

Stow-on-the-Wold is thought to have been founded in the 11th century on the site of an Iron Age settlement. It has a long history and had a special importance in the English Civil War - the Battle of Stow on the Wold, fought at nearby Donnington in 1646, saw the defeat of the last royalist field army. St Edward’s Church, was used as a prison for the defeated Royalist troops, as it was the only lockable building in the town.

The Church of St. John Baptist, Cirencester is a Grade I listed building. The church is medieval where the oldest part started construction in the 12th century. It is built of Cotswold stone and is one of the “largest parish churches in England”.

There is a great place to get theatre tickets in London at Leicester Square at the Official Theatre Tickets discount booth. I once got tickets on the day to see Carol King Musical and she made a surprise appearance at the end!!! 🤩 Try them online. 👇
