Kefalonia has just been voted best island in Greece, toppling Santorini which has long been the most desired island to visit!

Kefalonia, the largest island in the Ionian, is an overlooked jewel of the Mediterranean is one of our favourite islands to visit on our Greece Lefkada route. What’s all the buzz about? In a poll on , thousands of people voted for Kefalonia to beat out Mykonos, Santorini and other popular islands of Greece…with Lefkada nearby Ionian islands mentioned as must-see destinations.
