Just back from seeing Back To Black. Heard mixed reviews but didn't give it much thought. Didn't expect the emotions. I was living in the time and the place where it all happened. I still do - the place anyway (pretty much). I met everyone in those pubs. Many are life-long friends. I remember Amy playing pool in the Good Mixer. She drank a Rickstacy. I drank Mixer Illusion. I remember Blake at a party in my flat. I remember my band having bee-hives before she did.. I remember smoking indoors and drinking outside. I remember the headlines of those local London papers on a daily basis which were all the things we were all doing.. It was a blip of rock n roll history before social media madness took over. It was my baptism to Camden Town life. We had no idea it was about to die. I remember the sirens the day of her death on my TV, simultaneously with the sirens around the corner from me where she lived..and she was gone..

I used to think the same but I assure you, it's easy to get to on the 24 hour Victoria Line aka the "blue bullet"! It's not far from the station and the club is like stepping back in time with cheap drink prices to match! You also get a 20% discount on delicious Yard Sale pizza with proof of your gig ticket. As someone who grew up just outside New York, I highly approve of this place. We'll also be screening our new video The Dream, a song I wrote about Pete Shelley of Buzzcocks, art directed by Malcolm Garrett. So, a lot of bang for your buck and a night to remember.
