This is Bella. I’ve travelled Europe with her. She’s my bit of Cyprus in my family. When I was pregnant she’s wrap herself around my belly. When Jasper was born she’s sleep by his bed. She did this up until last night when she disappeared. We are distraught and worried sick. Please can you share this? With the hashtags She is my first baby … and suddenly that does not feel embarrassing to say at all.

On Monday, 18th September, at 10 a.m. we'll be hosting a talk with Giles Rhys- Jones, the CMO of what3words.
what3words is an app that has divided the globe into 57 trillion 3m by 3m squares and labelled each area with just three words. It is the most accurate and memorable way to find locations.
Since its inception, it has won a myriad of awards.
Most recently Fast Company awarded What3Words the Social Good design award.
Mongolia and Nigeria have changed all their addresses to What3Words to ensure that communities in the most far flung parts can be connected. Tanzania has looked into customising the system to make it easier to deliver textbooks to secondary schools and for identifying broken water pumps around the country.
What3Words has also teamed up with travel company tripwolf - hungry for travel, one of the world’s leading travel apps, providing over 10 million people worldwide with recommendations, reviews and top tips through 600 carefully researched city guides has adopted 3 word addresses to help its users find all the great places listed in its guides, first time, every time.
On Monday, I'll be speaking with Giles on ways that the app can benefit the design and craft industries. The craft industry in particular , relishes in story's of obscure origins and distant sources of inspiration. Does What3Words threaten the mysticism of the story, or will it help define its spirit?
The whole program of events can be found here:

The talks will take place at The New Craftsmen at no 34 North Row
Mayfair, London W1K 6DG, who have transformed their space into a working canteen serving baked goods from St John's bakery, cheese from Neal's Yard, and cakes made by Anthropologists of Food. And, its all free!

One of my favourite walks that I hosted must have been with my mate , a talented portrait painter. Here is to him! Sending you the best of luck vibes while you wow the audiences at with . I also just remembered that this is the walk that I met the talented photographer and Instagramer and all round fellow London wanderer. Sad to hear that she is crossing the pond and heading back to the USA. It's and in this weather it means time to get off my chair, out of my books and into the sunshine. I explored a whole new route in Chiswick, which includes gardens, rivers, fields, pubs and artist studios. Get in touch if you'd like the route and recommendations- happy to share

Going through some of Deptford Portraits in the run up to next Friday when he leads a tour through his beloved area. New to the area he embarked on a project that would chart the area's demographic from a personal perspective with the intimate process of sitting for a painted portrait at its foundation. The tour starts off in Ian's studio where he completes his portraits. My personal favourite is this one of Polly, and I can't wait to see the painting and hear the story of the sitter ( link in bio)
