Ooops! I hardly remember how to post on IG! 😜 This summer we intentionally took a break from Socials as, after a very long winter full of restrictions due to the pandemic, we preferred to unwind! ☀️

Our Holiday Home Alice’s Nest 🏡 has been on and working without stopping though with big satisfactions and great guests 🔝 (we’ll share some reviews with you little by little).

Freddie pops in regularly the courtyard of Alice’s Nest (at least we believe it’s him), hiding food in the planters and spreading soil everywhere on the ground. 😅

I have always loved taking a ride in a London Black Cab! 🚕 The most iconic form of public transport of this city with a unique charme...
~
Technically, it’s against the law for you to yell “Taxi!” to get their attention. If you see a cab with a lit sign, just hold out your arm to signal them. Not like in most cities 😉 there is a sort of etiquette to properly hail a cab in London:
~
The taxicab can be hired if its light is on.
~
If you are at a busy train station or airport there is a chances that there is queue for a taxi and you must wait in a line.
~
Once the taxi has pulled over after you’ve hailed it, or it’s your turn in the taxi rank, politely go to the front window and ask the driver if he or she will take you to your destination.
~
When you have reached your destination you may leave a tip. Usually round up to the nearest pound or 10% of the fare is acceptable.
~
Avoid Mini-cabs – they aren’t licensed Black Cab drivers and you may not be able to trust them.
