About Jessie:
Jessie can sleep up to 6 people. For 2 she is a luxury trip. For 3 or 4 she is very comfortable. 6 people can sleep well but naturally there is less elbow room and space for luggage. 2 to 4 is recommended. The sleeping accommodation is made up of a double cabin at the front with doors to the front deck, two single bunk beds to the centre of the boat and a very comfortable sofa which flattens out to a double bed in the living area. Jessie has a generous 'cruiser deck' at the stern and a nice comfortable front deck for watching the world slip by. The bathroom has a shower, a macerating toilet, and a wash basin with shaving point. The living area is to the centre of the boat with a solid fuel stove for chilly evenings, a wall mounted digital TV (DVD/CD player). There is a large comfy sofa/bed ( storage underneath for bedding). A folding dinning table and additional chairs allows for 6 place setting. Jessie's solid fuel stove will keep you warm on chilly evenings. Logs and smokeless coal are provided. The galley has a gas hob and oven with grill, a good size fridge with freezer compartment, a sink and draining board, cupboards and drawers housing all the usual kitchen equipment and a compact automatic washing machine which can be used when the boat is hooked up to a shore mains supply. Water is held in a tank onboard and needs topping up most days from water points along the way. This will be done by your skipper. Hot water is generated from the engine. The power supply to the boat is from four domestic batteries charged by the engine. An 1800 watt inverter supplies power to 240 volt sockets throughout the boat which are suitable for running such items as laptops and chargers. The boat can be hooked up to a shore mains suppy when possible. At least two nights per cruise this will be possible. Two folding bikes are available for your use if you want them. These usually travel on the roof when not in use. Very useful for popping to the shops or for exploring down the towpath.
