📜 'All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players...'

We're lucky to have some players of our own at Notre Dame London—students in "Playing Shakespeare" finish off their work each semester with a performance at Shakespeare's Globe. One of the most unique and exclusive opportunities available to London students, acting at this legendary theatre is a chance to bring our entire Notre Dame London community together to celebreate the end of term.

On a recent trip to Belfast, students visited the Parliament Buildings to meet with Members of the Legislative Assembly of Northern Ireland. For a truly immersive exploration of the sectarian nature of Belfast they followed a walking tour of the barrier-segregated parts of the city, led by both Catholic republican and Protestant loyalist tour guides.

Through political science class "Comparitive Conflict Regulation", students explore the often strife relationship between nationalism and ethnicity—and the complicated history of the United Kindom beyond London. 🇬🇧 🇨🇮

In September the Notre Dame London community gathered to celebrate the inauguration of Fr. Bob Dowd, C.S.C., as the University’s new president. Staff, students and faculty were joined by a group of alumni pursuing graduate studies in the United Kingdom at the University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, and the Royal College of Art.

Fostering partnerships with peer academic institutions is an essential part of our global locations’ work. Often beginning with the seedlings of study abroad and student exchange, these academic partnerships grow into international research and scholarship communities.

Today we’re sharing some of these partnerships with St Edmund’s College at Cambridge University 🇬🇧, the University of Galway 🇮🇪, and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile 🇨🇱. Visit the link in ’s bio to read more about our strategic partnerships around the world.

Through strategic partnerships with world class institutions, Notre Dame’s extensive international network is a launch pad for University faculty to expand their research connections and collaborations globally.

Today, we’re sharing stories of research collaborations between University of Notre Dame faculty and those partners in our network, like 🇰🇪maternal health research in Nairobi, 🇮🇪novel cystic fibrosis treatments with Trinity College Dublin, and 🇮🇳child development innovation in Mumbai. You can find more information on these projects at the link in ’s bio.

📸 2: Professor Marta Martins observes a petri dish in her microbiology lab at Trinity College Dublin.

Martins’s research collaboration with University of Notre Dame Civil and Environmental Engineering Professors Rob Nerenberg and Al Cerrone explores a novel method to treat cystic fibrosis, a condition that affects one in 19 people in Ireland.

📸 3: A residential school in Telangana, India, working with Project Sampoorna.

The Telangana Social / Tribal Welfare Residential Education Institution Societies (known as the Society) provide high-quality, holistic, and value-based education to marginalized children through residential schools that will enable social mobility and empowerment.
