This striking villa is has all the mod-cons and luxuries of a 5 star hotel suite while being immersed in the wild African bush. Guests can enjoy a private safari, included spa treatments and use of the gym, arresting contemporary art and sculpture, and first class service from a team of 14 private staff.

Mvula is a 4 bedroom private villa in the Sabi Sands Big 5 game reserve in South Africa and is now available from 20th to 23rd Dec.

Mvula sleeps up to 8 pax in 4 bedrooms and can only be taken exclusively.

Thank you so much for the most fabulous stay at your gorgeous house . Amina and Mustafa looked after us so well and we all fell in love with the house. Welcome to Sirai Beach. I have been wanting to see this house for years, and it did not disappoint! It’s a smaller plot than their huge bush house but equally spacious rooms. The master suite stretches across the whole upstairs space of the main house while 5 other suites are dotted among huge baobabs on the lawn. The pool area is very well thought out for a celebration. The sonos and wifi is excellent and there’s ice cold beer on tap. A spiral staircase takes you down to the ocean for a swim at high tide or rock pooling at low tide. Or Alex the brilliant skipper will take you out fishing or cruising the Kilifi creek or open ocean on their incredible 38 foot Billfish from America. There is also a smaller skiff, paddle boards and kayaks. Bofa beach is 15 mins away when you fancy a big white sandy beach day 🏖 Thank you so much for having us!

The stunning Cliff villa at Alfajiri Villas in Diani. Soft furnishings of bright whites and blues gives this house a more Mediterranean feel which I love. The turret suite is fabulous and with an 180 degree ocean view you almost feel like you’re on an island. The house has recently had a refurb installing brand new bathrooms and curtains, and the final spruce - making the wrap around verandah white - will happen early next year. Cliff has 4 double en-suites and a twin.

I am completely blown away by Cardamom House, this place is truly special. The main house has 4 bedrooms, shela has 2, Lulu is the honeymoon house with just 1 suite and an incredible outdoor-indoor bathroom, and the gorgeous pink tower has 3 bedrooms. You can book rooms or houses or the whole place. I am in love! DM me for rates and info.

My last viewing in Kilifi is Toriana which stands out for being on Bofa beach rather than on the creek. It’s also much bigger with a main house sleeping up to 18 and a cottage sleeping another 12. The cottage is very sweet for young families - the bunk rooms are well decorated for toddlers, while the main house is better for older kids. This would be a great rental for a big multi-gen family reunion or celebration.

Follow a beautiful tree lined avenue to Mdoroni House. This property is divided into 2 houses - Pehoni & Behewa. I stayed in Pehoni and loved it, it felt very similar to the Shela houses on Lamu. More intimate than the others I’ve seen, this house could work for couples as well as families. I went for a lovely swim in the morning - sand underfoot at high tide - and there is a perfect roof top terrace for morning yoga watching the sunrise over the kilifi creek. Kamili House! Also in Kilifi’s plantation area, this villa has a striking first impression. The entrance is reminiscent of Cape Dutch architecture while the gardens are punctuated by huge impressive Baobabs. The house sleeps up to 11 in 6 bedrooms and guests are looked after by a team of 5 house staff + gardeners.
