With a seasoned perspective of the golf industry, I am observing a significant shift in how the recreation of golf is changing at all levels; the spotlight is heavily shining on the importance of creating a consistent and exceptional experience for members and guests [the customers].

Golf clubs that prioritise golf hospitality and amenities alongside the game of golf will be the ones that thrive in the future. Customers are not content with just playing golf; they want to feel valued and appreciated with services that enhance their overall experience.

In summary, the golf clubs that focus on delivering exceptional experiences to their customers are the ones that will thrive in the future. By providing personalised services, excellent amenities, and building a strong sense of community, golf clubs can create a loyal fan base that feels valued and appreciated.

It’s important for golf clubs to understand the evolving needs and expectations of their customers, especially in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic. This may require a shift in mindset and approach to golf hospitality. For example, clubs need to invest in technology and digital platforms to enhance the overall customer experience journey.

Golf clubs can differentiate themselves by offering unique and innovative experiences that go beyond just playing golf. It’s also important for golf clubs to focus on sustainability and environmental stewardship to attract and retain their customers.

It was an absolute pleasure to be invited to the Walton Heath Women in Golf Summit on April 3rd by the Chief Executive Alex Woodward.

Over 70 incredible women from all corners of the UK golf industry came together to share their experiences and insights.

It's no secret that the numbers of women in golf are still too low. However, events like this give me hope that change is on the horizon, and I look forward to playing my part in it. By shining a light on the achievements of these accomplished women, we can inspire the next generation of women to pursue opportunities in golf.

I want to give a huge shout out to The Jazzy Golfer for her fantastic presentation, and to the inspiring keynote speakers Vicky Cuming, Inci Mehmet, Nicole Wheatley, and Zoe Ridgway. Their stories and experiences were truly inspiring, and they are true trailblazers for women in golf.

Together, we can all encourage more women to become involved in golf, both at club and industry level. I look forward to working with my new and existing clients to champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in their businesses.
