"The Burlesque Salon" is a space where great minds meet to discuss everything Burlesque launching on the 7th August and running 7-10pm every Wednesday as a drop in space upstairs at Bar Soho. Each week, you can attend an exclusive masterclass led by an industry professional, meet new performers, see pop up performances, and exchange ideas, right in the heart of Soho.

I’m also super thrilled to announce my partner on this project bringing together and The HOB Academy.

Times are tough in the arts, Sadie and I are so thrilled to be innovating a project that allows burlesque to flourish through camaraderie, continued education and commitment to excellence.

I'm so excited to announce that on the 6th and 7th July our Academy Weekender Burlesque Bootcamp is back! 2 days packed with courses and classes for all levels of Burlesque taught by the best. Ever wished there was a full time burlesque school specialising in all elements of the art form? There is and you can come and join us!

Featuring day schedules for Beginners, and Improvers and Professionals - check out our timetable:

SATURDAY 6TH JULY
ALL LEVELS COURSE: 10.30am- 4.30pm. Whether you're brand new, have dipped your glittery toes or have a few classes under your garter belt.
Covering beginners guide to glove st******se and ni**le tasselling and asselling, fan dancing and classic vintage moves.

SATURDAY IMPROVERS COURSE: 11am-4pm. A one day course for those with previous burlesque class experience
A one day course covering ballet 4 burlesque dance technique and stocking st******se with Trixie Kixx, and story telling - untangle the narrative as Lolo Brow teaches you how to create strong story arches in your burlesque performance.

SUNDAY 7TH JULY
INTERMEDIATE/PRO: 10.30am - 5pm. Suitable for those who have been to a few burlesque classes already and who are, or working towards performing on stage.
A one day course covering a guide to floor work, how to express your personality and connect with the audience using facial expressions on stage, working with your music and dancing with flair, and creating your look.

PRO/PERFORMERS: 10.30am - 5pm. For those who are already performing on stage whether you’re early in your career or an established artist. A one day course covering preparing the mind for stage, how to fail and fail well, working our creative muscles to imagine and develop act ideas that are unique, interesting and entertaining and success and motivation mindset with Desiree Diaz.

Please welcome our iconic April judges & made in Dagenham, Cortina Ford is a neo burlesque performer from Essex. Runner-up in the Burlesque Idol 2022 with her Kebab Act! 📸 next up Gwendoline Lamour was at the vanguard of the British Burlesque revival; she made her debut at The Torture Garden in 2001 and is known for her giant prop shows, fan dance, and lavish costumes.  In March this year ‘Dr. Lamour’ completed her PhD in Performance wherein she uses her embodied knowledge of burlesque performance to shed light on a performance by Nell Gwyn in 1667. A book is forthcoming! and finally the Queen herself Tempest Rose International Burlesque performer, pioneer and producer.
