Have your camp application to do and don’t know where to start? 🏕️

Save this post for our tips and tricks on nailing your camp application 🤞🏼

🏕️ Go big or go home. Don’t be afraid to talk about yourself, explain your experiences and big yourself up! You are amazing after all ✨

🏕️ It’s all about the detail. Stay relevant, but don’t be afraid to go into specifics. A Camp Director will spend as long as needed to read through your application. The more detail you give, the longer they’ll spend on it – ensuring your application is a memorable one. 🤩

🏕️ Show your personality. Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter how amazing your personality is – if you can’t get your true self across when speaking to camps, they won’t be able to see how brilliant you are. It’s normal to feel the nerves, but take a deep breath and remember, you’ve got this.

🏕️ Keep it relevant. When asked about your skills on an application, only list the things you feel comfortable and confident teaching. For example, don’t talk about how great you are at tennis, if you don’t want to teach tennis at camp. This is the point when camps will be working out what position might be suitable for you – so make sure you’re on the same page.

🏕️ Have fun with it. This is the MOST exciting application you’ll probably ever do, so enjoy the process. Camp will be here before we know it 🇺🇸

Prepping for Summer Camp can seem like an impossible task, but we have a few tips that you can try and do before you travel to help ease the nerves you might be feeling 🤞🏼

⛺️ Get chatting!!! Our biggest tip is to try and connect with other people, whether that is people going to the same camp as you, or just people going to camp in general. You can join our Facebook group, follow your camp on social media and slide into those DM’s on TikTok! This way you can get excited about summer 2025 and you don’t have to keep bugging the people at home that don’t get the camp talk!

⛺️ Research your camp! When you’ve received your camp placement do that extra bit of research into camp events, themed activities, daily activities etc.

⛺️ Packing!!! Now you don’t need to start packing until atleast April/May time, but it’s always good to have an idea of some things you might want to take with you. If you see anything cool and camp appropriate over the next few months, sn**ch it up to take with you for your summer in the states!

⛺️ Get excited, this is going to be the best summer of your life so enjoy the process and prep yourself for the best summer yet 🤞🏼
